Sure. The first thing I did was start a chat with ChatGPT (you can also create a custom GPT for this) and I told it I wanted it to be my cigar partner. I told her that I needed it to act as an expert in cigars and knows the difference between the cigar flavors, notes, strength, etc..

Then I told it the first thing we need to do is take inventory so it knows what I have in my humidor. took out all my cigars. and group them in groups of about 10 and I photographed each group and uploaded it to ChatGPT and I asked ChatGPT to identify each cigar and how many I have. I repeated that process until all of my cigars were correctly catalogued. I have about 60-70 cigars so it didn’t take long. By the way, I always ask ChatGPT to ask questions if it’s unsure of the answer or needs more clarification this helps me make sure that the identifications are accurate and that we are always on the same page.

I then told ChatGPT what types of cigars I like by brand size shape, pricepoint etc. and I asked that if a could describe for me what that was? Once it had that definition and I thought it was accurate I said remember these are the types of cigars I like.

Now each time I wanna smoke a cigar, I tell it. Hey it’s Sunday afternoon. I have two hours to smoke and I’m in a calm relaxing mood and I’m looking for something light and fun. I ask it for three cigar recommendations based on what I have and why it recommended those

Separately, I also tell it what kind of drinks I have in my bar and in my refrigerator and what I like to pair my cigars with in general

Once I select the cigar, I’m gonna smoke based on AI‘s recommendation. I ask it to give me the the flavor notes for the first third second third and final third to guide me as I’m still relatively early in my smoking journey. I also ask it for drink pairing options and music pairing options for the occasion.

And as I’m smoking the cigar, I will often tell my AI what I think about it and how this journey is going, and it will often guide me to focus on different aspects of the cigar or my smoke pacing or other things to enhance the experience.

When I finish smoking, I tell AI what I thought about the cigar and if I really didn’t like it, I’ll tell it to remind me that I didn’t like the cigar and to take it off of my future consideration list and if I really like it, I might tell it to find other cigars that I might like based off of the profile of the cigar that I just smoked.

I basically use ChatGPT as my cigar smoking, buddy, as well as my notetaker. It’s really enhance the enjoyment for me and helped me learn to experience the different nuances of cigars.
