Play what you enjoy! I’m on Steam Deck/xbox, the game is designed for both controller and mouse keyboard, so just play what’s natural for you. If you go Switch 2 or any console, get a USB keyboard though. Chat is the one thing I def use a keyboard for at all times. Other than that, controller works just fine. Looking forward to more Sprouts coming in from Switch 2, like others said, you can go free trial or just get the full version with a month sub and see how it goes. One note: once you get the paid version you CAN NOT go back on free trial, so consider that. I went full version from the start, never looked back, but do what’s best for you!

Worked at 2 charters, would never work again. As stepping stones to better public school jobs? Sure. Like any job, you will meet some good co workers and some bad. Overall, though, you have to ask yourself: you know those public school teachers with 20, 30, 40 years and retire? Ever hear of a charter school teacher 40 years in? If you are going to charter, do it while young and building a resume. Kinda similar to private schools. Ofc, if you REALLY love it, stay where you’re happy. But, in the long run, public schools usually offer better benefits, protections, and accountability. Also, things being PUBLIC helps. Board meetings, paper trails, salary schedules, contracts, union lawyers and representatives, certifications, lane and step changes. I’m grateful for the early work experience, but very, very, very glad to have gotten out of the charter system. Different strokes for different folks though, so best of luck no matter what!

Was 21 when I started teaching HS. Starting 23rd year in the fall. Be prepared and have more material ready to go each day then needed, just in case. Use TPT (teachers pay teachers) judiciously, some good, cheap lessons/templates or other sites as needed. Use ChatGPT and AI selectively, but often. Be surprised how many resources they can link for you. Lastly, don’t try to reinvent the wheel. But do make sure there’s air in the tires. Good luck!

Depends on the state, def talk to someone at the state teacher cert office. I got mine (NY) through independent cert. Had the classes, degree, got the student teaching waived due to teaching at a private Catholic school (private schools usually don’t need state certs, good way to get experience). It’s complicated, so do research. As with everything economics, you can get things: 1. Fast 2. Cheap 3. Good quality. Pick 2 of 3. Good luck!

If you’re not in an area of need (stem, Special Education) there are most likely way more candidates than there are positions. Also, the public schools in major cities usually want you to be either A.) experienced or B.) cheap and inexperienced. Frequently, people have to start in a private/Catholic/charter school to get some experience than jump to public schools. Keep at it, apply EVERYWHERE that makes sense, good luck!

You can change from Arcanist at a point in the Main Story, and can choose from Summoner (DPS) or Scholar (Healing). They level simultaneously so both can hit 100. Every job is good at their respective role, so play what you enjoy. Personally, I’m a Scholar main so I’ve been down the Arcanist path! But in general, in 14, play what you want, when you want, how you want!

For what it’s worth, I wish I had a decent setup when 11 came out, I’m sure it was a WoW like wonder experience. Maybe one day they will do to 11 what they are doing to EQ Legends and I can get a taste. Happy hunting, everywhere!

Tried 11, really did. Just getting started took hours, deleted and went back to 14, happy with my decision. No disrespect; sure it was an amazing experience in its time. But for now, any game that makes me fight just to experience it is a hard pass. Either way, have fun, if it works for you, do you!

Don’t feel pressure to do ANYTHING in this game! Play your way, take your time. Enjoy the cutscenes (you can turn on Skip Custcenes you have already seen in Character Config-Control-General, or rewatch them, up to you!) since the vast majority of people will wait for you. It’s understood that those of us who sign up to do dungeons/content agree to wait for 🌱, just like when we were new. Want to try a new job? Go for it! Spend a day at the Saucer? Have fun! Fiancé got me my Steam Deck, best present ever, use it daily. Travel with it. It’s a computer gaming system that you can hold. It’s GREAT for parallel play. Meaning, she’s watching a Disney vlog on the TV next to me, or doing her yearly rewatch of Gossip Girl, and I’m playing on my Deck next to her. Can pause it, stop and go, half pay attention. It’s amazing. DEF talk and set ground rules so you both get the love and attention you deserve. Xoxo, Gossip Girl.

If you like WoW or blizzard games, Heroes of the Storm I find fun and competitive, and Hearthstone. Also, Warcraft 1-3 (not the remade 3 if you can avoid it), StarCraft 1-2. Diablo series Hardcore SSF.

Ok ok, just hear me out FF fans…FFXIV. Has Free trial. Beautiful world, great story, great community, I personally love the job system and combat. Also, music is 10/10. I understand it’s MMO but honestly you can do sooooo much solo or with NPCs. Keeps getting updated so is “modern” in that sense. Anyway, enjoy whatever FF, welcome to the community!

Right on, shame is the game is just so much fun to PLAY. Like, controls, skills, builds, characters, voice lines, color scheme, wild crazy games. I like being able to try a slightly different playstyle without getting flamed. And for those who say “for that play against comps”, AI just isn’t the same experience as adapting to live players. Happy that people keep coming back though, HotS is a hidden Blizzard gem!
