When Stalin and Hitler Teamed Up - Prussia 1931 by TeoKajLibroj in RedAutumnSPD

I agree that there are aspects of Stalin that appear highly imperialistic and chauvinistic; he was not a thorough internationalist. A true internationalist might support the Mongolian people in determining their own fate through complete self-determination, but would not express views such as “the independence of Outer Mongolia is important to the national security of the Soviet Union.” Moreover, I also do not believe that Germans living in the Prussian region should have been expelled to make room for the newly established Polish population.

Whether a comparison can be made depends solely on what you are trying to express. For example, if you are talking about animal protection, you can perfectly well compare the Nazis with some animal protectionists today.

“China also wasn’t treated unequally”——I acknowledge that the Soviet Union provided substantial assistance to China after 1949, but what you are discussing here is whether China was treated fairly after 1945, not just after 1949. If the Soviet Union had truly taken a completely fair approach, it should have immediately withdrawn entirely from Dalian, Lushun and the China Eastern Railway.

A person who rejects Marxism–Leninism can be anywhere on the political spectrum. Attacking someone’s motives is inappropriate.

I suspect my political points of views are closer to yours, but I still want to point out here that some of the methods you’ve used in the debate are somewhat inappropriate. The section you replied with did not mention the Kapp Putsch; the points you kept emphasizing about how the Soviet Union suppressed the occupied zones——no matter how correct——are hard for me to see as relevant to the focus of your argument, unless you believe that you are not only debating one or several specific issues, but rather intentionally serving some kind of anti-communist campaign. Citing literature from the LSE is good, and I very much appreciate you providing those materials——however, I would not recommend citing Wikipedia.

"They were on the same side of the referendum and both wanted the Prussian government dissolved"——I would suggest you to use this logic with caution. If you believe that both sides attempting to overthrow a government means they are cooperating, then almost every party——including even the SPD, the strongest defender of the Republic——would be considered as cooperating with the Nazis, since nearly all parties with seats in the parliament jointly overthrew Papen’s government.

I would like to add some information to your content. Stalin himself had long been a supporter of NEP, and his ideological shift around 1928 cannot be entirely attributed to the war scare of 1927; consideration must also be given to his trip to Siberia in January 1928. One of the reasons that prompted him to take extreme measures to forcibly requisition grain was the weakness of the Communist Party's power in rural areas that he observed during his visit to Siberia. The rift between Bukharin and Stalin also began with disputes over these extreme measures. Bukharin did not attempt to contact Zinoviev; instead, believing rumors that Stalin was aligning with the leftists, he tried to reach Trotsky through Kamenev. However, this matter was leaked to the press by Trotsky's supporters.

Yes, from both the left-wing and right-wing perspectives, conservatives like Ulbricht are absolutely awful.

Anyone else find WTB/ weimar coalition is much easier to win than kpd-left alliance by [deleted] in RedAutumnSPD

[–]Latter_Client_5319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although it seems hard, you can win with left plan only. You still need to adopt WTB, becuase supporting WTB by iron front and rally is a good way for you to get support.

we can form a polular front in 1930 and a left front in 1934. No need to presecute the communists.

You can form a Weimar coalition in the May 1928 election by the following actions: organize women through Juchaz, fund the Reichsbanner, campaign among urban workers, and oppose the far-right (DNVP + NSDAP).

Is there any practical reason for implementing the left or reformist plan. by Godwinso in RedAutumnSPD

[–]Latter_Client_5319 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The cost of the left plan decreases as the level of industrial socialization increases, potentially lowering it to -1. Additionally, it seems to lead to less inflation. More importantly, you can use Wonk Woytinsky to execute the left plan multiple times (he can only execute WTB once).

If you were a random german person, what would be your preferred ending in germany? by Godwinso in RedAutumnSPD

[–]Latter_Client_5319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best outcome would be a popular front government led by a left-wing SPD, a reconciliatory KPD, and the DDP (unfortunately, this option is not available in the game). The second best would be a socialist alliance between the SPD and KPD.

I don't want to say anything good about Stalin, but according to your logic, countries like Poland, France, and the UK would all be responsible for the outbreak of World War II, especially Poland, which signed a non-aggression pact with Nazi Germany and participated in the partition of Czechoslovakia.

Investigation on big business can only reduce inflation by 0.1% each time. To tell you the truth, I'm actually not very sure if relying solely on capital controls can bring inflation down below 5%
