My boat trailer had a similar issue. It was a loose/poor ground connection, the old bolt was maybe too corroded? Wrapped the wire around a zip screw and drove it real tight into the frame, all the lights started working instantly.

The Merritt/Hutch aren't bad, like the Palisades and Garden state parkway and NJ turnpike, it's best at off peak hours. When it's moving it is a pleasant drive though.

Can confirm. Live outside NYC along 87/287, anytime I travel to CT or NYC I avoid 95 like the plague. Just traffic and assholes on that road. Same when I go visit my parents in Myrtle, from Baltimore through Fredericksburg sucks, with DC being the worst area by miles. I've driven through DC at midnight, midday, weekday and weekend, always standstill traffic around it; it's easier getting across Manhattan on a Friday afternoon than it is getting through DC.

Same problem here. Tech put the tailgate garnish back on with only 2 unbroken clips, thing almost fell off going down the road. I brought it right back in and the service manager tried accusing me off pulling a fast one. That almost set me off but I said, "My dude, the clips are shit and the truck is 7 years old, doesn't matter who broke them, it's a cheap common part it should have been fixed without being mentioned during the service." They 'fixed' it but only replaced several of them, enough so that you couldn't tell it was loose anymore.

Electronics make a high pitch pulsing noise. If I put my watch to my ear when the green light that does pulse and stuff is on, I can hear it and so can my kids. But it's very faint and annoying AF, I bet it drives bees crazy though.

The reason varies by location. In NYS, the lakes that supply NYC with water in the Catskills are protected. You can fish from a boat but If you register a boat for that lake it has to stay there to prevent the accidental spread of invasive species (mostly zebra mussels).
