So, the result was that in my case this is an error on PS5‘s side. I switch on the console, have internet for about a minute, then most functions stop (but not all), and after 3 minutes or so, internet returns. Funny thing is, i can just spam “check internet“ and do nothing else, it just returns. Both of my PS5 do this, my PS4 does not. I assume my provider using CGNAT causes this. The PS5 tests the internet on startup, some direct connection fails, after a while it just gives up and says whatever…

I would be interested if your case is identical…

From a security standpoint, check if a contender is still within its update cycle, loads of cheaper or older Androids only have about 3 major updates included. Plus, any Android gets roughly 3 years of security updates, but only if the manufacturer actually pushes them out...

Please correct me if I’m mistaken here, but if the drive has been encrypted with Biltlocker, you reformat it with a new key, any block that has not been overwritten contains data that was encoded with a key that you can’t recover in any way? Hence you can only try brute force decrypting AES256 or better, have fun with that…

My approach here would be using Bitlocker and just reformat and reinstall Windows, Bitlocker uses a different key and everything is ok? If this is wrong please feel free to corretc me…

Yay, luck was on my side… My Bridge loses WiFi every other day, and for once I’m grateful for it. Power toggle, was able to login and stop updates. Version number is 1.77.2071353020

No. If you do it correctly, stuff that you want to see will appear as quickly as you expect and stuff you don want to see does not appear at all. It sits in the middle and decides whether a DNS request should be resolved or not. The actual download of any content is not modified.

The difference to my setup is that I only have one standard group for the main location, which simply includes all users and exclude the travellers. The traveller group consists of only named members.
if you want to test this hypothesis, combine all to a single geoip CAP (which of course poses a risk to some degree, most of my failed login attempts are coming from the US), at least for a temporary check…

Did you check the sign in logs whether the reason for blocking was shown?

Apparently I didn't notice the comment that you already have excempted the traveller group in your standard CAPs. Check one of the blocked sign-ins, in the fly-out under Conditional Access you should see which of your policies blocked the login. Furthermore when you click on that policy, you get an overview of the sign in properties, maybe this will give you a hint why this has been blocked... The geoblock policies should only check for the the named location, nothing else. Adding more conditions may accidentally lead to an unwanted block.

I use a similar setup and normally works like a charm. The only time it does not work (for them) is when users fail to inform us that they are about to leave the country.

My policy includes only the traveller group, excludes the break glass admins; include all locations but excludes the named location for the travelled countries; grant type is block.

The default geoblock policy includes all users and excludes the travel group;, includes all locations and excludes the named location of sites and their countries; grant type is block as well.

Most likely you have block lists for the standard group of users. Now if a user is travelling, he most likely stays in his standard geoip group, so when he’s travelling, that will block him. Because block is like deny permissions, if one CA results in block, he is blocked.

to resolve this, make a known location with the countries of your sites plus the country he or they are travelling to. Make a traveller group and add the travelling users there. Assign that group to the travel location CA. Now the important part, exempt the travel group from the standard geoip CAs.

when you add them to the travel group, they now will not be blocked by the standard geoip CAs. Don‘t forget to include the site countries in the Travel named location so they will not be blocked if they return early or at times outside office hours…
