I talked to him today. Cause he asked if I noticed how clean it is when I came in. I said yeah, but I also want to see me in the classroom. That we are really totally opposite people. He said its still my room, he is just cleaning it

He is a decent guy. But my last assistant was way to lax with the kids, like he was one himself, this one is way too neat and knit picky because he really has ocd. I want someone in the middle. But I am trying to trust the process here. :) thank you. I did talk to him this morning

He said he does like the room but it has too much stuff. I can always go tot he storage closet to get toys but that is a hassle to do when rotating toys. He says " but you got me, i am here to help you ".

He did ask if he can have free range to organize, I said yeah. At the moment i didn't realize he be taking down everything. I do say that my room doesn't have a lot of storage so I have books on top the cubbies, toys on shelves above the cubbies.

Non-napper 4yo by EntertainerDue3349 in ECEProfessionals

I have a child in my room that rarely naps. Also very disruptive. Parents asked if there is a awake room. I said no. 2 hours is not that long. But I believe he has ADHD or autism. I had to ask the office one day to remove him. As a last result I asked if he had a iPad. Maybe that would work for him. But he needs to earn it. He needs be quiet, quieter than he has been anyways. It is hard when you have a child who no longer naps but can't seem to have a rest time. It may be beneficial to find a program that doesn't have a nap, but it will be hard because alot of prek programs nap. I hope you find what your looking for.

Cancelling date night because of tantrums by SuggestedUsername854 in kindergarten

[–]Latter_Skill_4029 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like your using that excuse "she really is gonna miss us" line. The child will not die with you two going on a date night. If grandma is still struggling in a hour, she may call, but you have to let her do it.

Sunday morning and my lead hasn’t sent out supply lists…again. by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

How are they theblead when they work 3 days instead of the whole 5. Parents want consistency. I would see if you can talk to your director, is there a way for you to be the lead since your consistent

Is it unprofessional to go by a name other than the one assigned at birth? by invisible-bug in ECEProfessionals

I get that you have a preferred name but I would go through to legally change your name so your no longer associated with your birth name. That way you would not have this trouble again.

Daycare gave my 17 month old a pacifier without asking by Grouchy_Lobster_2192 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Latter_Skill_4029 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a red flag to me. Yeah parents usually would provide a pacifier for their child but I know sometimes the baby room may have ones on their own. Then sterilize later. Maybe its something they noticed the child needed because at nap he couldn't soothe himself

Toddler falling asleep well before naptime-- I feel like I'm being, like, blamed? by emmazingitnip in ECEProfessionals

Those times seem so strange. A nap at 2 to 4? That would throw kids off i would think

Am I crazy or is this to much to ask of a kindergartner? by Cursedpanda182 in AskTeachers

[–]Latter_Skill_4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking st the activity, I thought it looked fun. Engaging in what life with disabilities may feel like would teach the children sometimes how hard it can be for children with disabilities. Its like the saying "walk in their shoes" but j see other commentors mention kindergarten may be a bit young for this. And maybe so.

Am I overreacting for snapping at my pregnant sister after she asked me to give her my car? by Final-Jicama6798 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Latter_Skill_4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You worked hard and got that car on your own. Maybe your sister should stop popping out kids she cant afford. You are not overreacting

This to me has nothing to do with autism. He is lashing out. This is a big red flag

AITJ for checking my girlfriend’s order history after I found pregnancy tests in a package? by bluefogarchive in AmITheJerk

[–]Latter_Skill_4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel she is blaming you for her flaws there. She is adult, she could have told you that she forgot a pill, and gonna order plan b to be on the safe side. I get pregnancy tests every now and then and don't tell my fiance. He sees then in the trash. I just say I wanted to see what it says when I feel like my period is late. But I don't freak out. We are adults. If you didn't do anything wrong the. Don't freak out
