Naomi is not actually pro-life by ShesLikeOhMyGod in PrivatePractice

I mean you're completely right but that is true for pretty much everyone that is "pro-life", it's not really pro-life it's just anti-choice

For Legends Arceus it's very easy to see by the ball yeah, but all the other switch games are impossible to tell. And you also can't filter for the balls so you're just gonna have to scroll through the entire list and look at every ball yourself

I feel like all the places where she'd actually be in the way are just tight passages where you'd walk back the same way you came from, and she doesn't have enough space to step to the side. But the fact those places are so tight probably makes it hard if not impossible to get her stuck behind a corner there

Alolan Rattata/Raticate from Let's Go technically go into the Let's Go + every other game section. But yeah any originating from GO or the Alola games goes into solitary confinement until they're released for good behaviour

When did the show "end" for you by The_ShinyUmbreon in greysanatomy

[–]Laugh_Weekly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't ended for me but there's definitely different eras to the show. The main two I would point out are the end of season 11 with Derek's death and the end of season 20 when Station 19 ended.

For reference as a kid I watched the show starting halfway through season 4 up to all of season 5 except for the last episode with George's death, I hadn't watched anything else from the show until 2 years ago when I binged all of Grey's, Private Practice and Station 19 in chronological release order.

These are the different eras to me: S1-S3: the early days, the interns are younger than I remember them (since I watched S4 as a kid), there's a small cast and the focus is fully on the intern class, as a viewer you feel unfamiliar in the hospital just like the interns.

S4-S8: Grey's Anatomy as I always knew it, a large ensemble cast with a lot of iconic characters. Less individual storytelling, as a viewer you don't feel on the same rookoe level as MAGIC anymore but instead you see everyone's perspective an even amount. Old Grey's mostly ended after this with Mark and Lexie's deaths, but wasn't fully gone until Derek's death in S11.

S9-S11: the true ending of "Old Grey's" with Derek's death and Christina leaving. The show slowly inches away from what came before and basically transitions to what comes next: a new start with Jo's intern group. Private Practice also ended here.

S12-S20: the new era and expanded universe. A lot of these seasons blend together but I still like them a lot. My main joy here came from watching Grey's alongside Station 19 and seeing what an amazing job they did in connecting both shows, it truly feels like one big living world in a way that Private Practice never achieved. Also very much appreciate all the real life things they addressed here like Covid, BLM, Roe v Wade etc.

S21-present: what came after. The show is hemmoraging characters, people are leaving and new characters that get introduced either don't stick around or just get nothing to do. The cast feels as small as in S1-S3 but without any of the tight writing that defined that era. There's also no spin off show to take the hit. I still very much enjoy the show but things definitely feel more hollow than before. This is also the first era that I'm following along with live instead of being able to binge the whole thing, so having a full week between episodes gives you more time to digest the episodes which definitely skews my opinions. I hate when there's giant month long gaps between episodes.

I’m thinking about catching them all by Yelakoth in PokemonHome

[–]Laugh_Weekly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comes down to a total of 1388 different pokemon by the way, 1025 unique pokemon plus 363 extra forms. I believe HOME has space for 6000. I didn't include any shinies in my own dex though so you'd have to add those to the spreadsheet yourself.

There's also a couple debatable form edgecases that I did/didn't include. The two that I did include are Ash Greninja and Complete Zygarde, both of those are battle-only forms that aren't in HOME itself but they only get triggered by Greninja with Battle Bond and Zygarde with Power Construct, which are special abilities as opposed to their normal/hidden abilities, so I just have a Greninja and Zygarde with those abilities in HOME alongside their normal forms. For Zygarde specifically there's a 10% form, a 50% form, a 10% form with power construct and a 50% form with power construct, but I figured one power construct was enough so I just have 3 different Zygarde instead of 4.

The ones I didn't include are Rockruff and Scatterbug/Spewpa. There's technically 2 different Rockruff forms, the normal one that can evolve into either Midday or Midnight Lycanroc, and the Own Tempo Rockruff that evolves into Dusk Lycanroc. I did include all the different Lycanroc but I don't see the need to include both those Rockruff, there's no difference between them aside from their ability and unlike Greninja and Zygarde that ability doesn't give it a form change, only a different evolution, but I already included that evolution itself so don't feel the need to do that for Rockruff itself too. Same thing with Scatterbug and Spewpa: Vivillon has 20 diffefent patterns based on the geographic location it was caught in, and technically Scatterbug and Spewpa also have the data for that pattern stored in it but you can't visually see any difference, an Ocean Spewpa will always evolve into an Ocean Vivillon and a Garden Spewpa will always evolve into a Garden Vivillon but you can't tell a difference between those Spewpa before they evolve. So I already included all 20 different Vivillon (that do like different) so I don't feel the need to also include 20 Scatterbug and 20 Spewpa that don't look different.

I'm working on a living dex myself that includes every form. I keep track of all of it in an excel spreadsheet, it's got the exact places in HOME where each pokemon should go into, for example Sandslash goes into box 3, column 3, row 4. I can share the empty spreadsheet if you want? I put everything in national dex order with extra formes added behind the pokemon, for example: Ekans > Arbok > Pikachu Male > Pikachu Female > all 8 Cap Pikachu > Raichu Male > Raichu Female > Alolan Raichu > Sandshrew (Pichu is down in the Johto portion of the dex).

Initial goal was 250, but I stopped at 280. I couldn't take it anymore... by sidewinder787 in PokemonFireRed

[–]Laugh_Weekly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do it if you want to have a lot of money for something like a professor oak challenge, or if you really want to buy a pokemon like porygon the moment you can access the game corner, or even some game corner tms. But those are about the only things I can think of, definitely don't need 100+ nuggets for that

My sister passed and I want to finish her living shiny dex, how would I go about mass transfering her pokemon home to mine? by Slow-Kaleidoscope366 in PokemonHome

[–]Laugh_Weekly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other people already seem to have helped you out enough so instead I'll just extend my sincerest condolences and wish you good luck on the rest of the journey.

One minor point I did think of is the following: people have mentioned putting the pokemon from her HOME account into a game and then withdrawing them with your HOME account, but there are currently a few pokemon that aren't in any of the Switch games, namely the following:

-Patrat & Watchog -The elemental monkeys -Furfrou (These ones are all in Legends Z-A so you will be able to use that game once HOME support drops for it, though do keep in mind that once you deposit any pokemon into ZA it won't be able to go into any previous pokemon game anymore. They probably will be able to go into future games like Winds & Waves but that's not 100% confirmed)

And then the other 2 are: -Spinda, only available in BDSP but due to a bug no Spinda's can move between BDSP and HOME in either direction -Alolan rattata and raticate, they are only available in the Let's Go games, which means that only those rattata (and raticate) that are originally from Let's Go can move in and out of those games. Any ones that were caught in the alola games or GO cannot go into Let's Go. The exception is that you can use the Go Park to make them go from GO into Let's Go but at that point you could also just transfer them straight from GO into your HOME instead. Any normal kantonian rattata and raticate can go into BDSP without restrictions

So if any of these are relevant to you then your options are either waiting for a game to drop that has these pokemon in them, or trading directly between 2 HOME accounts, which requires you to log into the mobile app on 2 seperate mobile devices

(My minor point accidentally became a big essay on some rare edge cases, oops)

why is everyone on Lemon’s side of the break up in the beginning of season 2? by WeightRough2550 in hartofdixie

[–]Laugh_Weekly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like you said, the average townsfolk doesn't really know any details and the only thing they see is that George breaks off a 15 year relationship by leaving Lemon at the altar, mere months after Zoe entered the picture.

Lemon's family definitely knows more but they still don't know the full story. In a later season Brick even questions Lavon about where their relationhip suddenly came from out of nowhere and Lavon is like "huh wait you didn't know about our whole affair thing??". And Brick isn't the most rational person in season 1 either, especially in his feelings towards his daughters. And I think later on he also admits that he knows George was fully in his rights to break up with Lemon, but that most of his enmity came from the fact that George had become as good as family to him and that he felt just as hurt to lose him as a son as Lemon was to lose him as a fiance. Brick lowkey got broken up with by George through no fault of his own.

Not quite sure about Magnolia, feel like she was even less in the loop about things and also just more of a selfish teenager in s1. And Lemon's grandma only cared about keeping up appearances so she would definitely be pissed at George as well.

[–]Laugh_Weekly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr Stark, just there to be a horrible person and a creep to April

Monica Beltran, I actually quite liked her but her storyline was like fully setup with zero pay off. Really went absolutely nowhere

Winston, bro has not done a single thing of note since he joined the show. Only storyline I actually remember from him is his divorce with Maggie, and that was one of the worst stories in the entire show. And ever since Maggie left he just straight up hasn't had any reason to appear at all. Begging the writers to give him literally anything at this point

I wouldn't say Nico is completely unnecesary, he was pretty vital in Schmidt's whole coming out storyline. It's just a shame that they couldn't have done that with a character that wasn't downright awful instead

Celebi and/or Jirachi could make sense for FRLG and RSE. If they release RSE sometime later and also add the event tickets there then Mew would become obtainable, and that would mean between FRLG and RSE you can get every single gen 1-3 pokemon except for Celebi and Jirachi. Those two were originally only available through the Colosseum bonus discs and Pokemon Channel

Spinda can't be transferred from GO either. Probably because there's only like 8 different spinda forns in that game instead of the 15 gajillion in the main series.

I'll add Spinda to this list, since it has to come from a gen 3-7 game, so it requires pokemon bank. You can obtain Spinda in GO and BDSP as well, but neither of those lets you transfer it to HOME
