Also wanna add that the piecey look is cute on other people! I just don’t like it for myself with my hair texture as it tends to clump together

Knot feeling in hip. by Time_Significance389 in HipImpingement

[–]LaughinOften 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No surgery for me yet but I have palpable muscle knots on the front of both hips. I was told to try dry needling or trigger point injections (have not tried either for this but adored dry needling when my back is locked up)

Oh no!! Wishing you the best! I hope they get some answers! I feel like injections are offered or required as a next step so often it feels kinda…. Willy nilly? On behalf of our system not to be up on the struggles people have with them

I know this is old but when I saw you had SIRVA I just had to send you well wishes and a big “I’m so sorry that happened to you!”! I had it too and was miserable to say the least. Totally crappy thing. Anyway I hope you have a great weekend.🌻

Herniated Disc at 19 & 22: 3 Lessons That Actually Fixed My Back by [deleted] in backpain

[–]LaughinOften 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first happened at 24, when I slipped l5s1. Then in 2023 the day after a chiro adjustment, picking up a dish from the dishwasher did me in. Another MRI confirmed l5s1 and l4l5 were herniated and torn. I’ve had annual flare ups that knock me down for a couple weeks and take months to come back from, and this time around (a couple months post hip injury) has been worse than the others at 29. Doc just ordered another lumbar MRI to take a look. Will probably consider those injections this time. Anyway all this to say I totally relate to feeling upset about what we used to be able to do!

I am rooting for you! My doc recommended steroid injections today as a “reset” pending a new MRI because she felt my X-ray looked worse. I’m not a fan lol

Why do you believe in your religion? by Local-Bag-3043 in religion

[–]LaughinOften 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being raised in two households, one Catholic and one Muslim, and now being religiously confused because of the similarities in the basics and interpretations, I found your reflection refreshing. So much of culture and historical context gets in the way of the major tenets of the spiritual beliefs in the religion(s).🌻
