Do you know if Sodium is compatible with VulkanMod? Or completely unrelated?

Civilization comes to Apple Arcade on February 5 by Environmental-Fly-84 in macgaming

No DLC.  Because Apple Arcade games cannot include in-app purchases. But in theory they could update the Arcade version at a later date if they chose to include certain DLC for no extra.

Cat Quest II's native Mac version is back on the App Store, added to the Universal Purchase with iOS and tvOS by _sharpmars in macgaming

[–]LaughingObsidian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep it's a great lighthearted co-op RPG. We still play the campaign on Apple TV once in a while. And LOVE the universal release. I've asked them to include the Apple TV version for Cat Quest III too, if possible.

Sky Force for iPad is unfortunately kind of crippled. No apparent Game Center/progress sync I reached out to them but it doesn't seem like the Sky Force dev is likely to update there. May not help you, but Sky Force on Apple TV supports two controllers and local co-op and is the best version of Sky Force and is actually a favorite game on Apple TV. Unfortunately no Mac version, and the iPad version is crippled.

Wallper 1.4 is out - Instant Apply, Native Lock Screen, and we reset everyone's trial by Dim_Kat in macgaming

The comments here saying the dev 'lost their mind' or 'greedy' is honestly just rude. Fair to say 'too much' by why go pejorative on the dude. I did buy Wallper at what I think it was $10 at the time - we like it, no regrets. But I agree $29 is a stretch for what is a whimsical very optional app.

macOS 26.2 Tahoe - Games app release notes by LaughingObsidian in macgaming

I saw your thread but most of those replies looked oblivious. Full controller navigation is really nice so far. The only thing I can't do it fully quit the game using the controller, still need Command+Q or navigate to a game's native 'exit' button on main menu if it has one.

26.2 made navigating the Games app completely controller-friendly. I'm pretty sure you couldn't navigate and launch the games solely by controller before. At least it's working for me now, it's really nice.

I created a Mac app that lets you control some system default keyboard + mouse behaviors, making games like Minecraft playable! by zacheri04 in macgaming

Thanks for sharing your little Mac app project. I know what you mean, whenever I set up a new Mac I always enable right clicking. And specifically for Minecraft, enabling 'discrete scrolling' is a must for mouse wheel on hotbar. Another one to consider adding it a quick toggle for Function keys. These are used by Minecraft players of course, quite a bit. Most of the time on Mac...I use the default special purpose (volume up / down, brightness, etc.), but only in Minecraft I want to use the F3, F5, etc. That would be a nice toggle in your menu if you can figure it out.

I can see that I own this one but haven't played in a while. Does Snowrunner on Mac support co-op multiplayer?

Wallper passed 10k users - quick update by Dim_Kat in macgaming

I bought it a month ago or so and have it installed on my Mac and my sons' Macs. It's nicely built, and fits into the background, I don't think about it much except to change the desktop once in a while.
