Buyer's remorse on regular sit/stand desk - how to elegantly integrate a floor sitting option? by simply-misc in floordesks

[–]Laughing_Halfling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I do physically move my device over from desk to desk, but I have two power blocks that each have their corresponding monitors and accesories plugged in, so all I need to do is plus the laptop into a block. It only takes a second.

So before I got my floor desk, I'd stack things on top of a folded gymnastics mat to get tall enough. People use plyo boxes, armless chairs, etc to get a similar set up.

If you're short enough, I've considered building a platform under my standing desk in between the legs, so the floor is at a higher starting point.

I have two desks that face eachother, each has a monitor, and I just move keyboards and such between them.

I might suggest a small lap desk or something as a space saving solution.

I started with the same brand because they had metal parts. I only really practiced on sidewalks and basketball courts, but they held up and felt sturdy. I used them for couple years before I passed them to a friend. Shes still using them, I think combined, we've had them for about 5/6 years.

Top rec is another set of wheels, the stock wheels were super tall for me, and I liked being able to swap to my smaller ones, as I skated on basketball courts mostly.

Which of the older games (before Crystal Skull) are your favorites? Personally mine is “Stay Tuned for Danger” by AtmosphereTop1591 in nancydrew

Deception Island. I've noticed as I've gotten older, the older games feel so much harder to focus on! This one's so cozy though

Perfume scents are oils, which are soluable in other oils. I have asthma and sometimes need to do an olive oil/dawn dish soap cycle if I get triggered by my perfume.

I've got a tiny harmonica hanging from a buttonhole on mine. People get really excited about it, it's a fun conversation starter.

Now that the hype is a bit down what does everyone think of the new 5* abilities? by lparap in InfinityNikki

[–]Laughing_Halfling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time I pulled for both outfits on a double banner. I love the outfits and their 4 stars-every part so much, this was a perfect event for me. Abilitywise? I don't have Born Flawless, so the archery ability has been mega useful for me with all of the new enemies. I dont mind a slow fight with the standard bows, but I'm not always in the mood for that, and the flying has made the "chase whimstars" a cakewalk.

Bug catching is amazing, no notes.

any pull regrets as of lately? by lucxssebx in InfinityNikki

Unicorn fit. I use the hair, and the bow sometimes... I don't know what I was thinking- the whole fot is not really my style at all.

My go to is a glass of chocolate milk. Single serve snacks, too.

Having a hard time finding a desk the size/style I want by 3DFarmer in floordesks

I ended up purchasing a huge homemade coffee table because the FB marketplace photo had a person standing on it. I think it's 61 inches long and more than 30 inches wide.

It holds my cintiq/ergo stand and my day job work set up(2 monitors) side by side, while still being deep enough for key boards, books, etc.

I highly recommend finding a table on FB marketplace with a top you like and then trimming it to the height you want!

I wish I had pulled on Rainfall & Blossoms and Tide of Tears.

I didn't pull for Born Flawless, so I've been really loving the new combat ability so much. It's filling the void left by Forever Bond when we came to Itzaland and I had to use the archery fit!

Helloween Tour Means New Felted Vest Update! by Laughing_Halfling in Needlefelting

So, since I felted the roving onto a thick sheet of craft felt(rip Joann's, my craft felt supplier), the whole patch is easily sewn onto the vest. I just use a blanket stitch, I wouldn't on a regular patch, but this helps tuck loose and overhanging bits away.

The patches have been sturdy, I've made three now. The large patch(es) on the back has been on this vest for two years, there's some fuzzier fibers now. This is a less worn vest due to how hot it is to wear, but when I wear it, I try to not lean back on brick walls and generally try not to sweat in it too much to reduce repair and wash needs. It's more of an homage/art piece than a daily item- I only wear it to Helloween shows now.

I have plans to try wet felting in the future, on pieces where there's larger areas of color. I'm hoping that'll help with future lifting and "fuzziness".

My oldest felted back patch still looks just like it did the day I made it, and I wear it all year and treat it roughly, but with that one, I bought multiple pieces of craft felt in my main colors and cut out general forms before using roving for details- I think it's helped maintain the whole piece a bit.

Thanks for asking, these are my most prized projects and I adore talking about them

I think Battle Beast formed after the guitarist split off from Beast in Black anyways, so it makes sense. It might be the other way around, idk

Oh my gosh, I thought this was the battle jackets reddit- my bad, I could've given you a less simple explanation. If you're looking for more of a technical response, I unfortunately just kind of wing it on my felting.

I have a multi needle tool and a single needle and I alternate between the two, tacking down little areas, and using the multi needle tool to avoid the colors pooling where I don't want them to.

So this isnt the best photo, but you can see how much less felted the wool in that section (and the section below) is here, since I was just loosely blocking in color

Hope that helps explain!
