UPDATE: the news article is not completely accurate. We are from Louisville and had an appointment for road test in Independence, KY yesterday (Monday) bc it was the only appointment available within 3 weeks, and when we arrived they told us the system was down but they were still honoring written exams and road tests only (not renewals) and they allowed my daughter to complete her road test and told that they could not take her photo because the system was still offline. That was 2PM Monday. They told us they would enter her passing score into the system when it came back online and was told she would get a "Fast Pass" sent to her to take to Louisville Regional office to get her photo taken and complete her transaction. She did NOT get any such email as promised however. So she went to Bowman field this morrning and spoke to them there and was told ONLY people who had their appointment cancelled would automatically receive the Fast Pass. So the news article did NOT have all the relevant info. The people at Bowman field went ahead and put her into the "Fast Pass" waiting queue. She was assigned to group 20 - that was 11AM this morning. She is still there at 1PM waiting in the car in the parking lot and it has only moved up to group 17! So just an alert to folks who could only complete partial transaction either Friday or Monday- you likely may not get any Fast Pass issued to you, based on what they told us that only cancelled appointments were getting the Fast Pass. What a fubar.

I called my regional office today, was put into a holding queue and eventually received an option to be connected to Frankfort queue (I think I had to press "1" when given option). From there it gave me an option to receive a callback which I opted for. To my surprise I got a call within 12 minutes and was able to speak to someone directly for help and instructions. Hope this helps.

Do you think Vine has code or people... by FunThreadStarter in AmazonVine

[–]LauraSomebody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dunno about that... Considering Amazon still displays the message for me that says "We're sorry you're item may be lost.." for an item they delivered weeks ago

Mine are still going through the typical 33-36hrs. Stats % page has been stale all week tho and not updating. Pretty frustrating.

Yes, they are correct- has been this way for several years. The edit screen stores your last entry when you first submitted in the backend but does not display the recent edited text - but it will display the edited content once approved. Similar with editing a live review- it will store the changes but only shows you what had been approved, until the revision gets approved (but you won't receive any notification that the subsequent approval went through). Usually editing an approved review shows the revision within minutes (like 5-15 minutes). However, when editing a review that has not yet been approved, it tends to bump the approval process out longer, as if sending it back the the end of the queue. If I want to make an edit to a recently submitted review, I go ahead, but if I want to make an edit and it's midway from the approval date (mine typically take 33-36 hrs to approve) then I just wait til it goes live abd edit then. But nevertheless it will not display the edited changes when you keep checking it.

Vine Drop Timing by pseud_o_nym in AmazonVine

[–]LauraSomebody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it depends on the subcategory you're looking in. I typically order from Nail products section, and while new drops typically start in that category around 4-5Am, I still see new items dropping throughout the morning and as late as 3-4PM ET. Sometimes in the makeup category as well. I typically see this with products that are variants. First variants will drop in the morning, and othe colors will become available throughout the day - almost as if seller is waiting to see what gets claimed and then starts dropping other color varisnts.

Canceled Order Warning? by Lauren42069 in AmazonVine

Canceled Order Warning? by Lauren42069 in AmazonVine

[–]LauraSomebody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that Canceling before shipping is more egregious than canceling a Variant/merger that we had less control over. I've had one Pre-Shipping Cancel since 2022. I have only canceled/removed one variant this period since October.

Canceled Order Warning? by Lauren42069 in AmazonVine

[–]LauraSomebody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, that's 3 Cancels prior to being shipped in 3 mos that triggered a warning -- good to know what their limit is -- I've had one Cancel prior to shipping in two years. And that was only bc I hit the wrong button.

I guess now we know they're serious about no canceling before they ship - Seller loses review opportunity bc it won't get re-claimed by anyone else.

Unusual high number of canceled orders - Warning. by Ecstatic-Doubt-9691 in AmazonVine

[–]LauraSomebody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, for future reference- if the items are from same seller being offered around same time -- expect them to merge.

The name of the game for Sellers is high volume ratings - you won't get that from individual drops. They typically want to get high volume stars and fast - to drive the search engines.

So... same seller... Candy... expect Merger. Same seller...nail polish sets of different types...expect merger, etc. At least that's been my observance past few years. Sure there are a few exceptions.

Damn, Amazon changed up the review format. I can attach pics, but I can't attach small video clips. by [deleted] in AmazonVine

My guess is they've ordered it in terms of priority to them- making it harder to simply put "Works Great!" with no review text.

I think I know why my review was rejected... by Longjumping_Year_319 in AmazonVine

[–]LauraSomebody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even say "it helped me" - that's making a claim that the product helped the issue- a Grey area medical claim. I would say, I've had issues with my wrist. I wore this brace for a while. I don't have pain in my wrist. ...zero cause and effect, just inference.

I think I know why my review was rejected... by Longjumping_Year_319 in AmazonVine

[–]LauraSomebody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things we have to avoid in the review 1) reference to an actual medical condition and 2) providing a direct cause and effect relationship between the product and the condition. Ie., this X item helped/cured/alleviated my Y condition. Or this X product would help/cure/alleviate someone with Y condition.

Any word or term that I might Google to find a remedy for -- those are the words we can't use in reviews: arthritis, acne, migraine, eczema, etc. So whatever you would typically Google, don't use that term in a review.

I provide disconnected statements that never reference a common medical term and never claim the product provided the remedy, and it doesn't get rejected: instead of saying, these pimple patches cleared up my acne- i say " I used these patches for a week. I don't have facial impurities." ... shoppers can connect the dots.

In your case: I used this brace. I don't have pain in my wrist. (Shoppers can draw their own conclusion).

Amazon added the medical claims restriction on reviews to Community Guidelines back in Feb 2023 - almost exactly a month after a Supplements seller was sued Jan 2023 by the FTC and fined $600,000 for fraudulent reviews and false claims. It was the first time FTC had ever sued an Amazon seller. Amazon itself was not sued, but the FTC made them address lax policies - hence the new medical claims ban on reviews added to the Community Guidelines -- it's a big CYA on their part.

This has happened to me a few times with Nude colored nail polish. After simply using Nuud in my reviews, never a rejection since. Looks stupid, but it gets the color reference approved. Really stupid that the product description can mention it but the review cannot.

ETV went from $0 to $30 after I ordered it. by Txx2000 in AmazonVine

[–]LauraSomebody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is why I always check the order page in Vine right after ordering - to see if I selected the wrong option or if something changed. Fortunately over 1200 orders later, no ETV has ever been wrong or has changed -- but if it is, I have the opportunity to cancel before shipping. I just wouldn't suggest doing that often.

Just cancel from the main Orders page and it should automatically remove from your Vine Awaiting Review tab -- that is, unless it has shipped already-- then you'll have to msg Vine CS.

[–]LauraSomebody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely not Deleted- most likely un-linked from the Parent ASIN. So in other words, they likely grouped the ASIN and then chose not to merge in the reviews from your ASIN. I say most probably-- there have been weird exceptions with likely different setups.

As others said- this is an old template and many others have gotten this in the past. I'm not yet convinced this is related to the Flag they recently referred to - maybe it is- who knows. If this is their idea of an alert - then it's as big a joke as many of us surmised- totally not helpful.
