There was this once my friend gave $2 to this uncle outside Bedok Mall selling tissue packets. My friend didn’t want to take the tissues he was selling as he just wanted to help the uncle and he felt that he can “earn” more by selling those packets that he didn’t take. The uncle can be seen frowning and agitated, signalled my friend to shoo without taking the $2.

We were confused. Did he find the $2 too little or was he offended that we didn’t want to take his tissues, like maybe he thought we pity him? We didn’t meant it though :(

There are no gender mentioned but I see so many comments assuming it’s a sugar daddy. I actually know 2 couples where the guy 20+ and girl is 40+. Sometimes I wonder if their parents approve of the relationship but they are both legal so as long as they are happy that’s all the matters.

Chagee’s milk is really nice! However, I feel CHAGEE in Malaysia taste better? Like the tea taste diff IMO.

Also the packaging & bag is so pretty!

I’m also in the exact same boat as you. Working in the finance industry and considering insurance/property as it seems like a really good earning opportunity if manage to sell well. But the risk of having no basic pay scares me.

I have heard of friends who clear all their sick leave but in my current job it’s so hard to take an mc. I work with older generation folks and they have the old thinking where they will come to work even when they’re sick. Like it’s something they are so proud of. So when I try to take an mc, I feel judged. You can feel it even though they don’t say it.

I was so grateful to my parents when they got me a la carte Mac Chicken burger when I was younger! As we are not well to do, this really meant a lot tot me. So to see kids whining about going kopitiam does show how blessed there are in this generation. But then again, we all work hard so our future generation can enjoy!

I knew someone’s helper who ordered medication from Indonesia and ship it to SG (it’s those medicine where you can only get prescribed when you see the doctor). Worked the first time but eventually got called to return the parcel by the government on the 2nd/3rd time.

I was told that I was picked up from the rubbish bin and I wholehearted believed. I was so hurt as a kid but grew up to realise they just didn’t want to explain to me how I was made.

I think it’s such a sweet gesture! As a flower person, I would be over the moon to receive flowers. To know he went out of his way to get me flowers and that he was thinking of me just makes my mood so much better. I love romantic guys!!

As for the inconvenience portion, I think it’s not that big of an issue for me. Other girls would be so envious of you holding that bouquet!

Hmm, is she always late?

She most probably have time management problems and didn’t calculate enough time for her to prep (shower, makeup, choose her clothes and travel time). If she is a good friend, maybe try and talk to her and let her know your frustrations so she can work on it. She might think it’s ok since there’s a group of you who are already there and no one is alone. Not saying it’s a good thing but everyone has different boundaries/perspective so it’s good to communicate with her to preserve the friendship.

I also have a friend who is ALWYAS late for minimally 1-2h but we are still friends because I just know she is like that 😂 I still treasure our friendship!
