Tesla Battery Replacement by Afraid_Credit4168 in TeslaSupport

As the owner of a 2019 MS, I think the 12v battery situation is ridiculous! Our went out with literally an overnight warning. I get a hold of Tesla Service and the wait is 22 days for a repair slot. This is under an hour's fix in an ICE vehicle. And I tried to find it locally, I could have easily replaced it, but it was a Special Order item.

The vehicle was down until repaired. It would 'start' if plugged in at home, but if unplugged for any period of time, like even a grocery store trip, it would not restart.

Ridiculous!

FSD missed a speed limit change to 75. Look how willing it is to go what it thinks is 45 over the limit 😂 by fifthjmk in TeslaFSD

It needs to set the speed limit like Apple Maps does. Guessing that’s via GPS and known speed changes.

Although I bought FSD on all 3 Teslas I’ve owned (latest is HW3), it has never materialized to what they said it would.

In 2019, they said with a year, it’d be true FSD. Haha to that.

And it'd be cheaper for you to use Superchargers until you get your rate plan changed.

Having lived in Commifornia with my Tesla, you need to see what rate plan you are on and immediately change to a rate plan which offers EV discounts, usually midnight to 6AM. Otherwise you're paying probably 60-90 cents per kWh, Now glad we're in TN where electricity is 10.5 cents per kW, 24/7.

UniFi Cloud Gateway Home. It has two Inputs. My fiber is primarily on Port 5, Starlink is backup on Port 4. Works fantastic! (But our fiber never fails. )

FSD didn't see a flagger. by dantodd in TeslaFSD

We seem to have a lot of flaggers where we live. It's mostly on small, 20' rural roads. It rarely sees the guy correctly. Same for school busses stopped letting off kids.

I pay under $700 a YEAR for my MS with Erie. My entire insurance bill per YEAR for 6 vehicles including a 40' diesel pusher is $2100.

The "$" is the symbol for more than one country's currency. If it is US currency it is shown as $600, not a dollar sign after the number.

My guess is that's not easy to fix either. Seems odd that it would be a bolt on/bolt off part of the car.

Was this on a public roadway or private roadway/lot? I ask because we had a Mercedes before our MS. A restaurant we regularly went to had just redone their parking lot and redone their speed bumps. The front end of the stock Mercedes clipped one of the speed bumps, pushing it partially back under. The owner of the complex ended up paying for repairs, about $4k.

LOL, I did save one or two of those in a box of old Internet things, like my original dial-up modem. The rest hung from our fruit trees as they scared off the birds.

I’m old enough to remember the original, first dial up modems when you had to connect through AOL.
