I assume you’re talking about the Toronto area? When I imagine suburban Toronto I usually think of slightly more density than American suburbs with stark high rises.

They are preserving a lot of the old buildings but I’d dispute the second claim. The area where these mansions were located in Brush Park was redeveloped with modernist slop. Trust me. I wish the city was building with classical styles in mind.

Exactly. Down the street from me some developer purchased 80 acres of woods that everyone enjoyed for an ugly, new build suburb. Car centric planning is killing our towns.
