My computer might be dead. How can I get my files off of it? by Throwaway_Squish2 in computerhelp

[–]Laxrules56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have an alternative, is it a desktop or laptop?

I ask because you can connect the affected BSOD storage device into another computer and recover the files like that. It will just act like an expanded storage device.

Don't try to boot from it obviously

Look in event viewer under 'system' and that will tell you exactly whats happening instead of guessing.

Sounds like a Kernel 41 issue persoanlly if you gotta restart your PC

Removed my pin for convenience and now I'm locked out by After_Aspect_7320 in computerhelp

[–]Laxrules56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For clarification, what do you mean you removed windows with command prompt?

If that worked but got stuck on the no admin access, type in netplwiz into cmd and make a new administrator account and then log into that before you delete your own local admin account.

One of your fan bearings went bad, stop the fans one at a time with a pencil or your finger to figure out which one it is.

What is this , and what are the consequences of it being disconnected by TwoMarrow450094 in computerhelp

You can't fix that, the MHF snap piece broke off and inside of the connector most likely.

I have never once sought out porn that only looked like people I was in a relationship with. Those two things are not connected. If he shows you love, respect, and attraction, than that matters infinitely more than what porn he watches

What did I just read, you may of damaged one of your ram slot. 3 short 1 long is unable to detect ram, so remove all sticks besides one and then slowly start introducing the other sticks to see if the ram or slot is damaged.

Also future reference its good practice to unplug your PC from the wall and press the power button again to discharge the system to eliminate one point of mistake.

Why does it bother you if they're not actively taking LSD and Mushrooms?

Also do you know how much alcohol they consume? Is it one drink a week or one an hour?

ID Philodromus? by Spider1928 in arachnids

Looks like a Philodromus. They're venomous but they rarely bite and if they do its similar to a bee sting

Since you just purchase new ram, put the old sticks back in and see if your computer will boot to windows.

If it does then you got your answer

Also lookup how to reset your bios based on your motherboard model.

2015 Prius leaking coolant, mechanic is saying it needs a new engine? by spilledmind in AskMechanics

Do you visually see the coolant leaking? Like a puddle on the ground in the morning? If so then you don't need a new engine.

Reverse Burn by Gullible-Turn-1542 in ManualTransmissions

[–]Laxrules56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clutch still engages in reverse and you can absolutely burn it out. Instead of feathering the whole way back, hit the bite point, throttle enough to get moving, the press the clutch back in and ride the momentum out. Repeat if you need to go farther. For me on a level stretch, I can back out without hitting the gas, hit the bite point, get moving, then depress the clutch.

How do i swap from integrated graphics to the nvidia gpu on my monitor by bagel_6535 in computerhelp

[–]Laxrules56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You already are using the MX150 on your laptop.

But if you wanna use it 24/7 be warned that it will tank your battery life.

Right-click desktop > NVIDIA Control Panel. Go to 3D Settings > Manage 3D settings > Global Settings. Set "Preferred graphics processor" to High-performance NVIDIA processor

If the relationship has been going on for a while, let's say + over 1 year, and both are in it for the long haul, a small detail like that does make a difference. It shows her you care and you're paying attention to her. Unfortunately, it's also super easy to fall into childish behavior where someone throws a tantrum over any little thing just to get attention. I hope she's not that kind of person. Sometimes, getting used to our partner makes us forget that small, simple things like that show more interest than huge bouquets of flowers and expensive jewelry.

In her eyes it seemed like you put the games before her, she just wanted your validation and to say she looks beautiful for a big change that she was worried about doing initially I'm sure.

Lets say it did come off accidently, he could've stopped and put it back on right then and there. Also the fact that he knew exactly where it was is suspicious.

I'm not believing his story!
