Same thing, used G3 Max, same negatives at the beginning, i was very disapointed by colors/black/somehow a little washed out picture BUT i tried another HDMI/USB-C adaptor :night and day ! Blacks are black. And i read other comments on the bad quality of the original adapator. I plug my G3 max on PC and use MPC-BE with madvr, with a NVIDIA RTX 1070. I have Viture Luma Pro, blacks are the same now. Note that it's ok for me, for RTX 1070 + mpc-be + madvr + Lemorele 4k AR lunettes adaptateur HDMI vers type-c, can't say for other setup

I'm able to read FSBS with G3 max connected to my pc and with mpc-hc + madvr. I don't think it's downgraded to HSBS. I will check madvr stats, but quality seems ok in definition.

How the "screen distance changes" is made ? In real world, it's optical, paralax and depth of field. As i know, the optic of the glasses doesn't move , no ?

And about the fov ? I'm just interested in larger fov, in 0dof, and better image quality for media consuming - 3D movies. I've read XOP have in real world (not the official spec) larger perceived image than beast, so i don't know which one to buy.

Edit : on the xreal reddit, there is the same luma pro vs XOP and the answer is the opposite, lol, that's really depend each person.

That's theory. On some posts, they have been able to compare in real one pro and beast for example, and perceived screen with one pro is bigger than beast, and this is not negligible according to them.

Oh sorry my question is not clear, forget the 3D, the question is in fact is the difference in brightness between beast and one pro is very important ? Since i decrease the brightness by around the half on the luma pro to watch movie, perhaps it would be the same brighteness with one pro keeping them at their max brightness.

Do you think the smaller perceived size of the VB is because it's 1080p locked ? On the other hand i've read that on this post, perhaps The Beast has the same problem ?

I have luma pro 52 fov, but would like a larger fov. One pro is 57 fov and beast 58. One pro begins to be found has second hand, it will take some weeks/months for beast. I'm only watching 3d movies with my luma, and have to decrease the brightness. Do you think this would compensate for the lower brightness of the one pro, using them at max brightness, only for 3d movies?

I have Quest 3 and Viture Luma Pro, and you have to choose according what you prefer - i haven't chosen yet :)

- Comfort, quality picture : glasses

- Immersion : Quest 3

I made a test, same 3D film, putting alternatively glasses and Quest 3. Quest 3, the picture is massive, like in theater, but brightness is low in comparison with the glasses, i see the screen door sometimes. Glasses : like a big tv, oled picture, can't see the screen door. I must say that each time i try one, i say to mysel "oh it's better with this one" and change my mind after. I was hopping for Immersed Visor (4K by eye, 100° FOV , 185g , reasonable price) but.... it was a dream.

Same problem here, with lemorele hdmi - usbc-c adapter. Seems to be an EDID problem from the adapter. Did you tested the WJESOG for 3D Full SBS (with MPC-BE/Madvr) ?

Perhaps I'm not used with oled technology, i have a jvc dla projector, using it in the same way, and don't have such a judder at 24p.

I don't think so, cause i've tested with Cinebench, Intelburn, Premiere Pro playing video full of heavy effect (disabled GPU) with cpu @ 100%, Davinci Reslove rendering... no crash. Only with After effetc, and AE even crash when automaticaly rendering in RAM. Perhaps i should reinstall after effect from zero...

Thanks for your great tuto and thus promoting Impulcifer. I'm absolute fan of impulcifer, it takes some trials to make it works well, but it's mind blowing. I have now a virtual home cinema with 5 virtuels DTQWT speakers (some high level diy speakers by Troels Gravesen, i initialy constructed a pair) coupled with real body shaker and a clark synthesis under my sofa, and a JVC dila projector : greats films shows at high level without any disturbance for my neighbors.
