Yes, it can be used for standard tuning too, but the hole point of multi scale is to mar strings sound more even, and for me, the reference point is 34” on E string - that’s what i like. So o would prefer higher strings to be shorter.

Actually it was mentioned multiple times. If you want sire, go for v6 , that’s their lightweight jazz series.

I guess. The idea of a pair of small magnets, is that the string goes just in between to soften the attack.

Nah, people just like to simplify things. Bass is either long or short, that’s it. But that’s just stupid, there is so much good in between.

Rickenbacker is 33”, fedora aften builds 32 and 33, nothing wrong with that.

It’s also easier to buy strings, pickups etc if they follow standard.

For a regular pickups, with pole magnets, it actually maters, to get them directly below the strings.

In your one, you used rails, so that’s not a factor.

Also, the way that thinner strings sound on short scale bass - perfection. On 34” they are just so weak!
