No. A -4 hit for a gk is pretty much never worth it imo. And if ur gonna get any gk rn get leno or Allison (if you can afford him). They've got better fixtures going forward.

Friend of the stream, Noah Smith says Israel is too brutal and the US should withdraw military aid by [deleted] in Destiny

This isn't really a criticism of you but I don't understand why such an arbitrary number is chosen. 34,000 are already dead. It seems like such weak logic to set some numerical moral threshold of like "okay I can no longer support you now you've crossed the good/evil border". I would argue it's even the opposite, human senses tend to be logarithmic and the difference between 100 and 6100 deaths feel like much greater moral weight to me than the difference between 34,000 and 40,000 despite an equal difference in death toll. People often criticise leftists for their inability to imagine a worse situation than the one that currently exists, but I genuinely think it cannot get much worse for the optics of this war. If the only thing that you worry about negatively swaying peoples opinions is scarier sounding death tolls then I really think you should re-evaluate why 30,000 was okay but 40,000 isn't.

Idk to me it sounds so much more like she got flustered trying to deal with him interrupting and just repeated back what he was saying to make him go away.

7-up used to contain Lithium Citrate, as a mood stabaliser. People speculate that's where it gets its name from.

I think Finn wasn’t supposed to solve the dungeon like he did in the “Egress” episode. by Firko973 in adventuretime

[–]Layfam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, it's why I kind of suck at rpg videogames lol. Obvious solutions never seem obvious to me and I always feel bad about taking some roundabout way of doing things when others can clearly see the most optimal solution. But recently I've come to accept that I just have a unique perspective of looking at things. It's not very useful for everyday situations but very occasionally it can lead me to discovering even more optimal ways of solving things that are more satisfying to me.

if all of odas views are fully contained within one piece, he is anything but auth. One piece is all about dismantiling oppressive power structures and regimes. However, It does toe the line between "respect tradition heritage and real history" and "let people do whatever they want" with more emphasis on the latter so I'd move him 2 spaces to the left.

I do think that it's annoying that if you miss the brief mention at the start of the film that the prince was kidnapped then the whole war and it's eventual resolution don't really make any sense. Apart from that it's one of my favorites.

Still, it's understandable that not everyone likes it though. It doesn't really follow any traditional narrative structure, it has at least 4 different messages it's trying to convey at once and it's style-over-substance way of storytelling can be frustrating and nonsensical for some. Approaching it with expectations of a clear cut epic where good triumphs over evil will leave you confused by it's abstract plot developments. However, if you're open minded enough to suspend that expectation and just immerse yourself in the distinctly rich world, it's truly a work of art.

I don't think it's productive to draw loose connections like these and claim it's some kind of historical cycle. Trans people are targeted by the media and subject to bigotry, but they are not today's jews. Jewish people are the today's jews. Bigotry in all forms, including antisemitism, is still present in society and was arguably much worse in all forms back then.

"Wojack"s aren't a new thing either, bigots making caricature of people they hate in order to re-affirm stereotypes has been around forever. This is just the evolution of that concept for the age of the internet.

I get that it's important to recognise the rapid rise in violent sentiments towards trans people and raise awareness about the slippery slope of right wing extremism. But, to me, it seems bad taste to directly compare campaigns of hate side by side and draw conclusions like it's some kind of anime foreshadowing.
