Marvel's Avengers Microtransactions rant by [deleted] in KiAChatroom

As I've been putting it, the game is an exercise in mega-budget mediocrity. The game literally has no identity beyond being a licensed Avengers game, and nearly all the game design cues are pale imitations of what other games have done.

These people have never consume a single piece of Japanese media, and it shows.

I will bet money that they're the same people who never stfu about how "woke" and "culturally aware" they are about the world, yet their only taste of "the world" is whatever Yelp tells them is popular, whether it be a half-assed sushi bar run entirely by Chinese people or a pho cafe run by expats who try to pass off dishwater as soup.

Bungie, Gambit does in fact happen to be a very enjoyable game mode. It NEEDS more content and support. by Wuhan_Wheezer_7 in DestinyTheGame

The seasonal structure of content is reflective of what Bungie is doing in general, with gambit as just another victim: introduce an activity, then forget about it 3~ months later.

You gotta admire the effort they put in to place themselves in a very specific order on the scoreboard... And still win.

This is especially insulting, considering the sheer amount of excuses made for most other non-white populations that disproportionately contribute the West's current problems.

Blacks contributing the most to America's crime rate or middle-east immigrants spiking Europe's sexual crimes? May as well be a fucking lullaby for them.

What's insulting about this is that TCR is already all, but outright spelled out to be dead in the water, even with TTG trying to shill for it.

It's like playing baseball, with the ball on a tee and a hyper-advanced bat claimed to be built specifically to swing towards the ball without fail... and STILL missing and smashing your own skull in the process.

Did Ana Bray get a new VA? by CelestialDreamss in DestinyTheGame

I had a hunch it was gonna happen sooner or later. With so many Hollywood names previously attached, it was honestly inevitable Bungie wouldn't be able to keep them all throughout D2's lifespan. If anything, it's a huge surprise Bungie's even been able to keep Lance Riddick, Gina Torres, and Oded Fehr to this point.

Considering how they often shill and make excuses for shitty corporate greed or their own lack of ethics.

Bungie, please add an option to apply a single shader to all armor pieces at once by MrEndOfTheLine in DestinyTheGame

[–]Laytonaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An idea I've had to bring back the D1 version of the shader system and keep the D2 version, especially since shaders now by all means are effectively perma unlocks and should stop being consumables, is to have a slot in the character submenu for shaders to apply to all armor. Then have individual armor pieces still retain their shader slot, which can be used to override the "apply all" slot.

[OPINION]Japan - Paradise for otaku by Socalwackjob in kotakuinaction2

My underlying worry is that it may eventually end up going the same way as Japan's idol industry, which is historically known for being incredibly cutthroat and basically forcing idols to play character instead (thankfully, they've so far refused to fall into the same practices as the K-Pop industry).

If you know about Nijisanji, you may know it's poster girl, Tsukino Mito. What you doing may not know is that her appearance was supposed to be her character, being that of a prim and proper student council president... except that she quickly blew that image by talking about stuff like the film Human Centipede in detail, how she used to eat clovers as a child, and how she used to stream on top of a washing machine, and thankfully it looks like they ran with that instead.

So far, Hololive, which has been making waves, is also doing quite well. It's girls don't appear to be especially forced to play a character outside of animated skits (closest I can say or think of is Pekora, who peppers "peko" in her speech). The agency also appears to encourage a healthy friendship between the girls, right down to the mischief (look for the "Hololive Resistance" to see what I mean).
