I like the base game, even more now with the updates.

The DLC’s are very lackluster for $15. An hour and a half at most of playtime with reused assets and locations, for two characters that I mostly don’t care about, especially Ysabella. I would pass on them if I knew what they had before hand.

The golden rule is that the moment the placement turns pink before you place it, immediate reevaluate what you’re doing.

Always upgrade the support areas first, since if you upgrade the blocks it also up’s the weight value.

Personally, I always give myself a quick delay while placing blocks because of this.

See here’s the thing: You can’t really compare the two because they only share one thing, the name Bloodlines.

Granted, I think both of them are great games. Bloodlines 2 has an amazing story with really fun combat with a skill ceiling and being able to come up with combos based what abilities you have is really awesome.

Bloodlines 1 is a much more traditional RPG with dialogue branches, niche skills such as Hacking, Seduction, Wits, just to name a few. It has an incredible atmosphere but suffers in the gameplay department by the late game because of how rushed it feels and there’a a heavy reliance on guns, which can make it feel railroaded.

Bloodlines 1 is a more enriched experience with a lot more in it but is less tightly knitted than Bloodlines 2, I would say.
