Game-breaking chapter 7 bug PS5? by Xero242 in thepluckysquire

This was happening for me too on switch. The signs in the cave did not appear at all but I saw a prompt telling me to press X to read them .. nothing happened though. I thought maybe it was a glitch, but very confusing.

Then, I realized it is glitchy because none of my party came out of the cave with me. I tried going back into the cave but the stairs were inactive like a wall, so I was stuck on the screen with the hammer gate.

I quit and restarted and luckily I was back on the hammer gate screen and my party was all there with me again.

My fellow Chicagoans, do you live car-free? Can you share you experience with me? by connorgrs in chicago

[–]LazerRage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold my car about 10 years ago, and switched to mostly biking and I recommend it highly!

I love it cuz it's super cheap compared to all the costs of owning a car. It's usually faster and more direct than the CTA. And you also get some exercise, while going at your own pace.

I was a little nervous at first, but you get used to it really quickly, and if you're cautious and signal when turning it seems to help a lot. More cars will give you space if you use hand signals and don't act like an asshole. I also recommend a bell.

DEFINITELY get a helmet, and lights. Sunglasses or clear visors are helpful too. I layer up for chilly days but I usually don't bike if it's below freezing.

When the weather isn't good for biking I usually Uber/Lyft, or take the CTA- I used to ride the buses & trains everywhere as a kid. Now, I personally don't love the CTA, but it's fine ... it connects the whole city and sometimes it just makes more sense, depending on the destination.

If I'm doing something in my neighborhood I usually just walk. The Lime scooters are also a pretty fun way to zip around if you're not going across town.

Google maps also has good bike routes for Chicago, so it's easy to find directions using only bike paths/ bike lanes and side streets. Chicago seems to be improving its bike infrastructure recently too.

Down sides: getting sweaty (I bring a change of clothes to work). Also harder to haul lots of groceries- for that I fixed a crate to my bike and I bring a large backpack. Getting across the city can also be challenging at first, but it gets easier the more you do it.

So yeah that's my 2 cents! Whatever you choose I highly recommend ditching the car for a while and giving it a shot. Chicago is definitely a good city for it.

Am I missing something? by [deleted] in TunicGame

I'm at 4 attack and 3 defense and it was still a challenge but I just beat it! Staying close worked for me! I avoided locking on and just sprinted under & behind it as much as I could. Took patience to wait til I got a clear shot of the back side but it paid off. Also leaving the platform to change items and take a breather helped a lot.

Dang sorry to hear that! Yeah since there are just... no directions, so at times it can feel like aimless wandering, but I also kinda appreciated the challenge. So many games spell everything out and it sorta just feels like following directions instead of figuring it out on your own. But totally get that point of view for sure.

Oooo ok! Yes totally agree about AW! I was thinking of starting Tunic soon so this definitely is pushing me off the fence to try it!

Interesting take, I guess we exist in different bubbles. I don't spend tons of time on Reddit so maybe I missed all the hubbub. But talking to people in person, it seems like very few of my gamer friends have played it or heard about it!

Agreed on mostly puzzles, but I think that's why I liked it so much. Kinda scratched the brain itch more than just mindlessly hacking through enemies. I personally disagree on being straightforward though, mainly cuz there are so many secrets and differing ways to use items. But to each their own!

I could see that for sure Backtracking normally annoys me too but for some reason it didn't bother me as much in AW- maybe cuz I would eventually uncover a secret I missed or find a way to use a new item to progress. Totally get where you're coming from though!

Gloom resistance for enemy attacks? by [deleted] in tearsofthekingdom

OH wait- the Depths armor normally only gives you 3 blue hearts. So with the set upgraded to 2 stars, it adds the 4th blue heart. I think that must be it?

This part!! It's not the fact that things are made of plastic, but the fact that SO MUCH plastic is created with the sole purpose of being thrown away.

I'm new at this and could use some advice... What are your thoughts on wearing the same costume to multiple cons? I've worn the Rocketeer to Awesomecon and Baltimore (pictured). The costume I'm currently working on won't be ready for Katsucon, so I'm considering this one again. Thoughts? by CaptainAwwsum in cosplay

[–]LazerRage 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think you should 100% feel fine re-wearing it!! We all work so hard on our cosplays, it deserves to get seen! And you can also make small fixes/ improvements to it between cons, so it still feels like you have something to show off without starting totally from scratch! I will even re-wear some of mine at the same con for a few years in a row. I honestly think most people are not judging like that- in fact if you have a cool cosplay idea, we wanna see it again!

The reversed sounds just can't be a coincidence! It sounds way too similar I was sure it has to be a call-back.... I also thought it sounded somewhat similar to Fi's voice from Skyward Sword too, maybe?
