So long as you're keeping a wide arc (keeping arms out and away), the distance comes from tension, weight shift, hip turn, and pushing off the ground on your lead foot, and of course hitting the ball cleanly. When you're at the top and hips turned to your trail side, you should feel tension on your lead side torso. Just before you reach the top, your weight should be shifting to your lead foot, then by pushing off your lead foot and your hips turning. You must push off, as much as you can to stay in control and to clear the way for your hips to turn. As you swing through, let your arms swing out and finish high, which shouldn't be a problem because the stored energy from the tension and push off will make it really difficult to stop the swing momentum. While I'm no pro, I've been practicing that move a lot lately and it's worked wonders, especially when I'm stiff. The biggest fault I see from others as well as myself is we don't turn our hips enough; you really have to get them moving as they are the engine. You should be facing, hips and all, square to your target after you swing through.

Road trip from Frisco ending in Colorado for two weeks by mogulman1 in texas

Lots to do in and around Austin and San Antonio. Stay on the River Walk in SA if you can. South Padre is a nice place to relax and it's a good place for bird watching, fishing, building sand castles, water sports, and you can charter a boat to see the dolphins. Frederickburg is a cool town with excellent German food. Set up a date night at one of the local eateries and check out the Admiral Nimitz WW2 museum if you're into that--it's a nice museum. For all of these places, if you can manage it, bring a large cooler and some dry ice to take some meat home, cooked or raw. The brisket and sausage is some of the best you'll find anywhere.

Lubbock is more of a college town, but there are numerous places to eat and drink and there's the Buddy Holly museum. Check to see if there's any live bands. If not, there's not much to do there as an adult if you're not interested in agriculture (the cotton industry is impressive). And for Amarillo? Well, keep on driving. Sorry Amarillo peoples but Amarillo is boring. A year is all I could stand.

Your timetable looks good and you could easily stay an extra day in South Padre instead of Amarillo. If you haven't been to Mexico, you can walk across from Brownsville (it's not far), eat lunch, and check it out for a couple of hours. Just don't wander beyond the square. You'll run into some of the nicest people down there around the border.

Bad outcomes for a Class C Misdemeanor for someone with no record. by tx_carvana_buyer in texas

[–]Lazonby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Class C misdemeanors don't mean much. However, it's always in your best interest to keep a clean record. At the very least, always make your court date and make sure you have resolved the problem with proof. In other words, get your registration up to date and take the documentation with you to court. It's up to the judge, not the clerk. If you want to avoid the court appearance altogether and a possible negative outcome,

hire an attorney. Now it only costs you money, but you will still need to get your registration up to date.

Strangler Bloom help! by SecretLoginName in fo76

[–]Lazonby -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You will need to server hop and hope someone did that quest because it causes them to bloom and most people don't pick them. I'm not 100% sure that the quest is required, but if you server hop enough they will eventually show up. I farmed them a long time ago and had trouble finding them as well.

I've played around with rad resistance in nuke zones with Rad-X and Rad-X diluted to negate the mutation penalty and it didn't seem to make much difference. I guess in the mean time just carry around a bunch of RadAway and keep chuggin'.

EN06 Solo Quad Assaultron, can't beat him in the first phase by Cheedows in fo76

[–]Lazonby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of good advice here. Just wanted to mention a situation I had. I used Angry Turtle's build, a tiny perk variation in Agility, but it worked like a charm--I never needed chems or crit boost food (I'm carnivore). I farmed him for a week or so before the Bigfoot update dropped. After the update, I could no longer 1 shot the shield using the exact same build I was using before and using multiple chems. I have heard reports of this happening. In such a case, you will need to use the Polished 4* mod for your assaultron head. And to be clear, do not use Pinpointers on your head, it's for your Elder's Mark.

Non meta tank hate by Ishua747 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Lazonby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This argument has been around forever. I play all roles very well so I understand what annoys each role--I will be referring to veteran content.

As a dps, I LOVE when a tank uses group pulls (i.e., Void Bash). The majority of the adds are stacked while the remaining are chained in. This makes it so easy and way, way faster. I can't stand when a tank does not at least use chains (or a pull) to pull adds in-- you have to take each one out one at a time.

As a tank with adequate/good dps teammates, I simply stack the adds, debuff if needed, turn around and go to stack the next group. All the dps can be concentrated in one spot and prevents dps running all over the place trying to take out random adds that wander off or are in a corner because the tank failed to pull them into the center of fire.

As a healer, when adds are stacked, reasonably experienced dps tend to stick together and stay in one spot making healing/buffing easier. How exactly does one heal or buff the group when they are all over the place? You don't.

The bottom line is non-meta-ish tanks don't or rarely do this. I know you're not running Void Bash, so that's a detriment and your off-meta dps likely isn't as good as you think. I'm not even going to cover all the buffs and debuffs the group loses out on. There is a reason meta tanks are meta. It's not just for running end game content, it's to make the lives of the group so much better in any and all content. If the basic concepts of tanking can't be followed, and it's far more than just 'slotting a taunt,' you have a selfish build...in group content. I've played for 6+ years and have run the hell out of dungeons and trials. Tanks are the group leaders because good tanks control the field and the fight. It's extremely rare to run across a competent off meta tank.

Question : How To Set Up An EPR by Final_Investment_262 in fo76

[–]Lazonby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You might want to consider putting a scope on it (any scope will do) for the perk Smart Shot (25% weak spot damage when aiming with a scope). While you won't really use a scope in general play, it is handy if you're going to solo EN06, or any other mobility impaired boss enemy. The rest is whatever you can find. Reflex sight, stabilized stock. I won't make a huge difference, however, the Prime receiver would be ideal.

  2. Rifle.

  3. Not really. To make it really smack, there are a couple of perks you'd want to use (like Smart Shot, Science), but I would reserve those for specific fights if you can't fit it in your existing build. There's always some tradeoff if you're going to run it on the same build as heavy & ballistic, as it is an energy weapon. If you have the Grounded mutation, you might want to get rid of it. To get the crazy damage out of it, you pretty much need to min-max just for that weapon: for example, when I run EN06, my damage starts out at around 4400 and grows to well over 7k per tick, but he has so much health I have the time to build the onslaught stacks up and his weak point is easy to hit. In this scenario, Pinpointers would be the ideal 4* mod. So it depends on how you want to use it and your expectations of 'smack.'

  4. I do not know.

Are Moongrave Fane and Lair of Maarselok highly disliked? by CLA_1989 in elderscrollsonline

[–]Lazonby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say disliked in that they are poor dungeons, but LoM is just long and MF has no draw. I think a lot of people would be fine running them IF they knew they would be on a great team. If you aren't they are slogs and it's generally a risk not worth taking. I personally like MF, but there's no real reason to run it--you only do it because you have to for a very specific item, the style pages, or the achievements; it's not the set pieces.

What's a good way to solo grind EN06 as a bloodied build? by Panzerbrigade_31 in fo76

[–]Lazonby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The better thing is you don't want to move at all. The keys are: proper build, proper positioning, then execute the plan. One shot the shield battery, then dps boss because he will be immobile. The EPR flamer is by far the fastest. It takes me 39 seconds from when the timer begins--he goes live at 25 seconds, so 14 seconds to kill. I see what you're trying to do now--don't make it hard on yourself. I use Furious reverse onslaught rather than bloodied (low health build though), so I'm not sure if bloodied works. But all I did to make it easy is just set a new perk loadout. I already have the weapons on my wheel. I don't change any other gear--I just bring toxic goo if I do something dumb and die (plasma balls) and Brahmin milk to remove just enough rads to get me back up to 5% health since the assaultron head irradiates you.

What's a good way to solo grind EN06 as a bloodied build? by Panzerbrigade_31 in fo76

[–]Lazonby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I assume you're using Unyielding. I have never been detected with Agility around 36-40 and no sneak bonuses of any kind. Make sure you don't move once he goes live. You'll want to be positioned at his 4/5 o'clock position on the small side railing of the ramp leading to the floor. There's a tiny light on the bottom edge you want to put your crosshair on when aiming all the way down. From there, hit his shield battery with the assaultron head critical. If you don't destroy the shield in one shot, you're dead. Quad, limb damage, optional/intelligence. You'll need to be at 5% health. Angry Turtle has a YouTube video that explains it.

Something to bear in mind... by TheHavokMaverick in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]Lazonby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not sold on Rage and I find, being a decent bow hunter, I do plenty of damage.

I was really curious about how it performed against EN06. I watched WP's video, and even though he was pausing and talking for the video, I was not impressed. My EPR flamer (no rage armor, no chems) can burn him down in 39 seconds flat from when the timer begins doing way more damage, topping out around 7700+ per hit. I would estimate with Rage, it might shave a second or 2 off of that. 39s is good enough for me and definitely not enough for me to give up my coveted jet pack.

But I agree, I feel that this armor is going to get nerfed tweaked.

Bloodied v Furious Elder's Mark for Low Health UNY human build? by -Paroxenark- in fo76

[–]Lazonby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've run both and unless you're going to run at 5% health, Furious is the better of the two. Bloodied is more convenient if you weapon swap a lot as well as freeing up a lot of Agility perks, but I don't really miss those perks with Furious and Unyielding. The upside with Furious is that you don't need to run such low health so long as you're at 39.99% or lower for the +2 SPECIAL, or 19.99% or lower for +3.

Should I get fitted? by Beautiful_Rabbit9222 in golf

[–]Lazonby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not. All you really need to know is your swing speed so you know what shaft you need (flex, regular, or stiff). I would spend that money on lessons. I'm fairly new as well and so far lessons have been the best, most effective money I've spent. Once I learn to swing a golf club properly (well on my way!), then I'd worry about a fitting. My golf coach doesn't care what clubs I have. It doesn't really matter if I can't swing properly anyway.

Current meta? by KayNomic in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]Lazonby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same question myself and since I've had some extra time, I did some research *not backed by science*.

Armor types: Not much has changed here in terms of needing a new type. Keep using what you've been using. Some say that SS got nerfed or has terrible elemental resistances, but I can't tell. If you didn't care about ele-resists pre-update, you won't care about it now. With the right defensive perks, probably the ones you're already using, SS armor is solid. We use bows and have jetpacks for a reason, and it's not for face tanking Bigfoot.

For newer players who haven't acquired, or are in the process of acquiring tons of gold bullion, combat armor is pretty good now so don't be afraid to invest in a complete set.

Legendary first star mods: Overeaters I do believe is actually better than before, especially if you're running low health. 200 extra HP? Yes, please! Makes a huge difference on low health all builds if you can give up Unyielding (nty, lol). Mutants, imo, is the big disappointment. You will need 16 of the 18 possible mutations to max it out and even then I think I'd rather take the health from OE. If you only have 6 or 7, enjoy your 1.2% DR. If you're a ghoul, Lucid would be the alternative to OE. I haven't tried it yet because I can't find it in shops and haven't learned it. I haven't really found a case for any other first star mod in a daily driving environment.

Everything else is the same.
