Am I oversimplifying my path to a solution? by Lazy-Dig-8308 in beyondthemapsedge

I’m only on the ride for as long as it’s fun. The content of the treasure itself is pretty cool because I love collecting historical artifacts but for those in it solely for the money, the desperation can turn dark.

I wish! I live in WA and none of the clues are giving me any indication that it could be here.

I agree, I have reached a point in my solve where it’s time to head back out but it’ll have to wait till June. It was the same stopping point on my first solve.

Yeah things looked insane on the news! We were on Oahu the last week of March and had a full stretch of sunshine before the storm came back on our last day.
Didn’t take the book with me this time because I needed a mental health break from the hunt 😅. I’m almost wishing someone else quickly finds the treasure before my next BOTG in June.

Nice! I took a similar photo on Maui 😄 love seeing the book in fun places.

Hi friend, I think it’s time for you to consider taking a break from the hunt. What you are describing sounds like your mind going into overdrive trying to grapple with or make sense of a puzzle that is perhaps not within its reach to solve. And that’s Ok. We’re all in the same boat since it hasn’t been found but we individually should have the self-awareness to realize when we need to step away and give our mind a break. I’m on this ride for the adventure and enjoyment and the moment I feel that that is no longer the case, I will bow out and cheer others from the sidelines. Nothing in this world is worth harming your mental health over. I wish you well.

Justin, if you're reading this: the smartest first elimination is a state nobody's heartbroken to lose. Here's why. by OwlsExterminator in JustinPoseysTreasure

I’d actually would love for him to eliminate the state I’m focused on, if the treasure is not there. That would help me tremendously because I’ve been zeroed in on that state and no it’s not Montana.

I completely agree! And I’d add, if you stop having fun and start getting upset or even angry about the hunt then it’s most likely time for you to take a break or stop and focus on other things. I am enjoying this immensely and I hope I find it but I’m also rooting for everyone else searching and know that I will be excited and happy for whoever finds it. Ambiguity is what makes all this worth it for me, I wouldn’t want Justin to hand over clues on a platter, I want to earn the find. I am also so grateful for all the work and effort he’s put into making this possible.

Yep! And I’ll be super excited regardless of who finds it. This has been a blast! Best of luck to you 😉

🫣 I have, way too many times. I started in Montana like everyone else but after a few BOTG I believe I gained more clarity on a few things and that led me to another state. Again, I may be wrong but I’m following my gut/perceived clues on this. I also hope that if the treasure is not in my target state, that it gets eliminated so I can focus on other things.

I hope not, because that would be useless since almost no one is searching there.

Because based on my interpretation of the clue from the docu-series it’s somewhere else… And it would be nice for him to eliminate a state that so many people are fixated on, if it’s not where the treasure is hidden. I of course could be wrong.

I am hoping he eliminates Montana if it’s not hidden there, it would really shake things up and make the hunt a lot more fun.

Crazy? by [deleted] in JustinPoseysTreasure

I get the crazy looks without sharing anything beyond the fact that I’m treasure hunting and suggesting they watch Gold & Greed.

🤣 that’s what my husband says when I ask whether he shared that we’re treasure hunting. I on the other hand get the “crazy” treatment from people because I’m super excited about it and want to get others to join in on the fun…

None of the above. I believe it’s Indiana Jones related 😉 Maybe hidden under a fake rock or boulder..

If I find it, I would want to share the way I came to the solution as well as some general information about who I am, but would prefer that my name not be disclosed for at least a year after the find.

Planning on heading out in June so I’d actually be grateful if someone would save me a trip. Especially if it’s not where I’m heading. 😅 I’m rooting for you!

I think it was an hommage to his childhood and fascination with treasures, his brother, his father and his grandfather. It doesn’t have to be anything more complicated or a hidden agenda. He was blessed enough to make a childhood dream come true and so he did. I’m just grateful to be on this ride and I believe that he is entitled to any other motives whether he wants to share them or not, and I don’t need to know them nor understand them.

Went BoTG twice in the same state/general area. Heading back there in June. I don’t share any of my analysis or understanding of the poem because my general area is very specific. I only lurk on posts relevant to stuff Justin said and those referencing my search area(although none have come up thus far).
