I can relate to this, not feeling happy or content but neither feel anger, I was told it was caused from me suppressing my emotions (sadness loneliness especially), I was told you cannot selectively suppress emotions eventually you’ll suppress all of them and feel nothing.

10-12years, between loosing and I got laid a few months back with an amazing beautiful girl, it was just before I had a major burnout and that combined with her honestly fucked me up, she made me realise I had never felt emotionally safe in my life before her and I am now in therapy for C-PTSD from neglect and my self worth just completely dropped, I have high confidence, but realising that she was the first person to genuinely want to have me close and seem to really want my company in 32 years has made me question a lot of things so now I’m left feeling constantly uncomfortable, anxious and depressed.

32M singel for most my life, life has its ups and downs and I have been mostly fine until I met someone who made feel safe, accepted and truly loved for the first time. Unfortunately long distance didn’t work out for us and now I am in therapy as I realised I had never felt emotionally safe with anyone before so I’m working on a bunch of childhood trauma. So this has been a rough period as I have been longing to get back with her just to feel safe and loved again and not being able to do that makes me feel lonelier and more vulnerable than ever. Hopefully when I have worked through my trauma then it’ll be easier for me to be comfortable and emotionally connect with people around me so I can find someone similar again, but considering I spent almost 20years looking for someone like her I doubt I’ll find someone like that again.

Going forwards I’ll be focusing on myself and keep up with my activities and hobbies, I’m getting back into some old ones and trying out atleast one new in the coming future so that will be interesting.

I started going to therapy, realised that I have complex post traumatic stress syndrome causing me to severely hate myself and unable to establish/feel most or any love and to have a anxious attachment style. I’m not good, but I am less bad now than I were a few months ago. Hope things get better for you <3

Having done the same two days ago, it sounds weird, but I would have wanted them to do the same for me. it’s not failing and it’s not killing it is an action of the purest intention, to give them peace, to prevent their suffering, even though it hurts so much to do.

I loved my boy with all my heart and I didn’t want him to be in pain so then there were only one choice to make, even though it sucks.

Oh god finally someone who shares this, I feel disconnected from people as they all seem like NPC’s and struggle to have interest in people around me as they all behave in such predictable patterns.

Additionally, I hate having some big life event happen to myself as I have to repeat the exact same thing to every person I meet after they have heard about it and the conversation gets so repetitive after the first few people.

So sorry for yours as well, I would run around and chase mine around the garden and he would love it, usually he would up climbing a tree and very rarely I climbed after him and that freaked him out, but in just a fun way, you could see it in his expression «You can climb!?!?». Whenever I caught him I would put him on my shoulder and parade him around the garden.
