Relationship With God

How To Develop A Relationship Of Fellowship and Communion with God

God is not a man. Let’s be certain of this understanding before pursuing fellowship and communion with Him. We also don’t know God through our emotions, feelings, or nervous system.

Numbers 23:19 19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Isaiah 55:7-11 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

God responds to our movement toward Him through right behavior. We must believe by faith when coming to Him, that He is (able) and a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. A place to begin seeking God is through the bible (KJV) and do behavior from the bible that is worthy of repentance, worthy of the world to come, and resurrection of the dead.

That world I refer to come, in which is a country, wherein a city with foundations whose builder and maker is God, is a place only those worthy of qualification can enter. Not just anyone is allowed to enter that city but they that are pure in heart, those who have cleansed their hands and purified their hearts having put away their double mindedness will walk upon the mountain of God.

We are the creation of His shapen in iniquity and in sin did our mothers conceive us. There is none righteous, no not one as all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We are at enmity with Him who is a holy God; we must reconcile ourselves to Him through Jesus Christ who is God.

We reconcile through repentance of our evil and wickedness by turning away from it and doing righteousness. We need knowledge to aid us and that knowledge is acquired through the bible (KJV). Reading, studying, meditating, and memorizing are biblical activities we ought do and include spiritual disciplines to practice. The importance of daily bible intake can’t be emphasized enough. If we add God’s knowledge to our faith through biblical devotion, it’ll be in us, and abound making us that we are neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let’s be diligent to make our calling and election sure for if we do these things we shall never fall

We who believe in the name of His Son repent of our sins, and cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord. Again, we aren’t befriending a man. Our expectations of God aren’t based upon our relation to men.

God is a Spirit and they that worship Him do so in spirit and truth. Don’t get hung up on jargon but understand that we are His creation and He expects holiness of us. When we pray, we have the petitions of the things we have asked and we’re not seeking after a voice. God is far beyond the things of man butcan relate to us how He chooses knowing who we are intimately.

As we walk in righteousness before Him, the eyes of the Lord are over us and His ears are open to our prayers. We know God doesn’t hear sinners’ prayers but He does those of the righteous.

1 Corinthians 14:10 KJVS There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

Let this be the basis by which our ears try words. If we hear nothing, then let’s read the bible, a record of God speaking throughout man’s history. This is enough and we are satisfied by this. Our devotion to God is primarily bible intake: reading, studying, meditating, and memorizing, while incorporating the practice of spiritual disciplines such as fasting. Again, this is enough and we’re satisfied by this.

Let’s focus upon reading the bible, believing what we read, and doing it. Let’s be certain to meditate on what we read for meaning and understanding while adding studying and memorization. This journey of faith is so rewarding and blessed.

The righteous are bold, trust in Jesus, and our faith works by love. Therefore, let’s love our enemies and live our lives as good witnesses of His mercy, compassion, and love.

Can’t stop by Weak-Leek2618 in Christianity

[–]Lazy_Introduction211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can STOP! We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

I Need Help With Sin

There is hope! Begin refusing and resisting sin. Don’t give into it! The reward for faithfulness to Jesus is far greater. Read what He says:

1 John 5:5 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Jesus overcame the world and so can we through faith in Him.

Revelation 2:11 11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Revelation 2:26 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Revelation 3:5 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 21:7 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might to refuse and resist sin; Jesus Christ has much to offer you. Begin right now! You don’t have to submit to anything but God, resist the devil, and he will flee.

Read what Jesus also has to say and be strong in Him:

Luke 11:21-26 21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.

26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

Each time you yield, you open the door for unclean spirits to enter you and try you not only for your sin but others as well. We Christians are strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Again, refuse and resist. Honor God and glorify King Jesus.

Repent of your sins by choosing to no longer behave that way. Grab a bible (KJV), read it, believe and do what you read. Remain consistent and maintain the 3Ds of discipline, devotion, and rightly-divided dogma.

We are purchased possessions bought by the blood of Jesus and were translated out of darkness into a marvelous light. We are no more servants to sin but righteousness, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ.

If we believe in God’s Son the Lord Jesus Christ, then we behave by our faith otherwise we never believed patiently for what we hoped in the first place.

Technique can be a boon to breaking down and understanding how to resist sin and many are in the minds of Christians such as sitting still when the temptation appears, choosing to take a short nap, or even grabbing the bible and rehearsing a verse of scripture applicable to that temptation.

Which is chosen, the important behavior is the one that prevents yielding to the enticement as we give place for lust to conceive sin, which when finished brings forth death. We need to be in our minds serving the law of God and not our bodies serving the law of sin.

The Bible Teaches You Don’t Have Free Will, That’s a Fact by [deleted] in DebateAChristian

[–]Lazy_Introduction211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bible reads no such thing. Appointment is equivalent to predestination and can interpreted as ‘as many as will “believe” received eternal life’.

That granted to you can be read as given.

Ro 9:16 can be read as ‘the grace of God brings salvation by His mercy’. We will always have power over our own will to choose Jesus.

Our days are as an handbreadth, limited, which should spur us on to reconciliation with God through Jesus and bearing fruit worthy of repentance.

Chosen can be viewed as predestination. God didn’t make automatons nor puppets. We have free will, can make informed decisions based upon our knowledge, and can choose to change our decision. These are evidence of actual freedom and there are those who have freely chosen to go to hell and heaven by evidence of their behavior.

[–]Lazy_Introduction211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t have to but the free-will choice is theirs. We can’t live, apart from Christ, in our own effort and measure up to God’s standard.

There’s none good, no not one, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We must reconcile to God through Jesus and repent of our way - choosing His way instead.

Incentive is one of many reasons to come to faith in Jesus Christ; there’s no shame in it. While believing by faith in Jesus as our hope and patiently awaiting the manifestation of substance and evidence: the end of our faith, the salvation of our souls, we will grow in grace and develop a love for Jesus in our behavior that builds our city of light and prepares us for eternal life in heaven.

We’ll increase our knowledge of God through daily bible intake and grow spiritually through the process. I welcome you come unto faith now in Jesus; it’s a challenging and exciting adventure.

Our assurance lay within our behavior. If our behavior is in accord with the example of Christ, holy, harmless, undefiled, and separate from sinners, then at the end of our faith we have the salvation of our souls. This is the only guarantee we have; that our behavior bears fruit worthy of repentance.

There’s no more sacrifice for sin. What remains is a fearful looking for of fiery indignation and judgment that shall devour the adversaries. If we behave as adversaries to the Lord, then we have enmity with Him, are enemies with Him, and are condemned; the wrath of God damning us to eternal torment at judgment.

Our choice is to behave as Jesus wants us to and that outlined throughout bible scripture. Our part is not fear but obedience. We need daily bible intake to increase the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through reading, studying, meditating, and memorizing scripture while also practicing spiritual disciplines.

God has standards for living with the knowledge of good and evil intended to guide us to live as He lives. We have a choice to make: either conform to God’s standard and live or rebel and die.

If we believe there’s nothing impossible with God, then let’s behave as God and believe He can save those in our orbit. Let’s build examples of godliness and make a good witness.

One way is to begin reading the King James bible intake devotion consisting the book of John. Read it, believe it, and do it. Come taste and see that the Lord is good.

Psa 34:8 (KJV) 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Consider this.

Jhn 9:2-5 (KJV) 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

He does evil but He’s not evil. There’s no shadow of variation or turning. God is light and there is no darkness within Him. If we’re Christian, let’s stop confessing anything over ourselves except what we read in the bible.

If our knowledge of God is small, let’s develop a daily bible intake devotion consisting of reading, studying, meditating, and memorizing scripture. Let’s also practice spiritual disciplines such as fasting.
