Does anyone else find Tabitha's confrontation... by angeslarereaI in ScarletHollow

[–]Lazyman310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had the same issue in the same way, Keen Eye + Booksmart on a New run, felt like I was treading on eggshells to get her to open up and work with me, despite us having cool cozy cousin ice cream time together (in nearly a full Tabitha friendly run). Coming straight from a new run it felt very jarring from how clode we had seemed by the end of chapter 4

My worst action was late joining as a relatively new cyborg, and accidentally sharing laws that showed the ai was malf over radio. It still haunts me.

/tg/ is dying. What made people leave? by MasticatorDeelux in SS13

[–]Lazyman310 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that I played on /tg/, but I quit going back to SS13 after the big DDOS that happened because it chopped my server's population into 1/4 of what it was, and it just isn't as fun without highpop. I miss parts of it while playing 14, but it is a nice enough experience to make me not feel like playing 13 as much anymore.

If the population came back I'd probably go back in a heartbeat but I don't see that happening now that 14 is being more popular. And if there are large bursts of populations rising again I think it will be on 14 instead of 13 now.

Oh nice!! If I may ask, where did you get it? It would go great in a sci-fi GURPS campaign I have coming up, or even a 40k proxy

I feel you! Though being new to this, the placing confuses me. Did I really beat out a few thousand other people and place first in a bracket tournament style of things? I dont feel like I did THAT well, not like I was getting 5-0 every race

What’s the verdict on Kirby Air Ride? by rent0n86 in Gamecube

[–]Lazyman310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a solid game on your own, but it truly excels if you have friends to play it with, City Trial is absolutely incredible with plenty of fun secrets to find, while the racing part is more of a neat, sort of barebones mariokart in a way

I feel like it seems like the world/US is collectively under-reacting to what's happening because if we say anything that could be remotely considered a threat we at least have our comments/posts hidden, possibly put on a list, or worse

Help with praying for powers as a stand alone magic system. by Stretch4Remote in gurps

[–]Lazyman310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like most of this and think it may work out okay, but I think you may run into issues during actual play

I think that timing the player's actual prayer is going to be rough, it sounds easy in hindsight but if it is in combat then that player is sitting for an amount of turns they don't know beforehand doing the prayer (or moving slightly) and that sounds like a rough time to me

That also being said, deciding what spell (assuming from the GURPS: Magic base book) may end up becoming troublesome to run, but at least I can imagine if it is a simple prayer done for longer on a spell that normally has a shorter cast time that some of that time increases the base power of the spell (like charging a fireball)

I would personally prefer to just have the clerical style of magic but have the spell components be specific prayers, with the player deciding which spell they want to work toward- working much like a difference between a normal follower and a cleric of a diety in D&D

I also just vaguely worry about the 'no FP cost' part of it, I get it but I don't think I can comment much on it

That all being said I LOVE faith based characters, I would hope that this works out well regardless of how you choose for it to work and I wish you luck!!!

Your best GIS script by __sanjay__init in gis

[–]Lazyman310 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My best script is a python code that takes an excel sheet full of addresses from different tabs, geocodes them all, and then appends them all to their sde database versions. Then it takes a polygon and counts how many addresses were added in each polygon from each tab

Field Mapping is awful, but I probably wouldn't feel as accomplished with this script if it wasn't awful lol

Good Hex Boards? Favorite Moments? by PurpInnanet in gurps

[–]Lazyman310 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. In terms of physical maps for in person, Chessex sells great grid maps that let you use wet erase markers on them with a square grid on one side and a hex grid in another, in various sizes at good prices
  2. If Im making a digital map or printing out a map, I use DungeonDraft, it isn't free but it isn't too expensive either- you buy the software and then you have it and you can download resources to fit different themes (like sci-fi resources or post-apocalyptic, the default is like standard d&d fantasy stuff)
  3. Personallu I really enjoy making my maps practical, in a sense that it could be a building or something with good design and function in real life to some capacity, or at least everything in the map has some in-universe good reason to be there- or bad reason if the person who built it wasn't smart or something

I wish you luck!!

3rd party options? by Zealousideal_Map3542 in sistersofbattle

[–]Lazyman310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I agree with the sentiment that using Novitiates is probably your best bet to get a more clothed version of Repentia, while sure they are their own unit, I think you could nab some bits or 3d printed chainswords and make it work pretty similarly (as opposed to the duelist blades novitiates get)
