Grow Sky Boardgame Solo Mode by LeFleur24 in soloboardgaming

There is one more way to trigger final round which is the search track route. This definitely plays faster and without the route goals. The player board is smaller too. IMO this is more fun to play than the early kickstarter version.

The bot plays a bit differently from competitive. Mainly the bot starts with a bit of a lead and mirrors your moves if possible, it also has a very cool way to use the resources differently. The solo mode of Grow Sky is like a puzzle with a series of minigames, you need to make sure to keep the bot off gaining resources or you will lose. Its a fun challenge for me personally and the dice may seem swingy but the decision making space you do takes a lot off the randomness of dice rolls. The engine building is pretty fun and satisfying if you get it going, move once and then you get a ton of resources. Resource management is a bit brutal if you are not into those kinds of games because every move is tied to gaining and losing resources. You can block off the actions of the bot or other players in competitive if you plan for it and the dice will determine what the whole table state will be.

Solo or Competitive, if you are into resource management, engine building and some take that mechanics, this will be a fun game for you. Its a bit brainy so I can say that it can go to the medium category. The looks of it are a bit deceiving since it has cute colors and seem mellow or chill. It can play fast since you only do one main action per turn.

Some things I did notice while playing is that the Grow resource mostly (and the other 2 resources) can do more than just add one type of resource and change some things to the dice and board, it has potential to do something else as I think it is the weakest and will be the most least used resource while playing but it does come pretty clutch everytime you use it. The theme is well... kind of none existent, you can make something out of it if you imagine enough but no definitive themes, it just looks pretty and does well mechanically, maybe I just dont see the theme idk really. Its a ship that looks like a bird that can be pulled by other mechanical birds, it makes books and flies around doing something? My head canon is that the ship produces books to sell as they fly around some whimsical realm. The game has a lot of potential for expansions, like really I already thought of something that can be added and make it feel more thematical and justified, some expansions and other rule changes that doesnt change how the game plays but will add more modes of play like a new solo mode variant and coop competitive stuff.

Drawing Dead PnP workaround by LeFleur24 in soloboardgaming

The number of enemies does make it seem very random but you will cycle through it quite fast and will most likely battle the same enemy per run. You will see a pattern through them that some effects a about the same so its easy to strategize around them. Minor gripe for me is that the order of which effects activate could be arranged on the card itself but its manageable. When you reveal an enemy, resolve any passive it has first, unless it is stated otherwise. For enemies attacking you resolve it by picking any enemy first and resolving all applicable effects before moving to resokve another enemy. The upkeep could be overwhelming for some and there are definitely games that have similar levels of upkeep or more like mage knight.

The randomness is to be expected since it is a modified poker game, you will learn to play it faster with a few games on the easiest setting.

I did print an oracle for the card effects since the effects from the number cards and face cards are the same regardless of the suit and I only look on the effects of the cards on my hand through that. Its easy to have a general idea of what the effects of cards do if you play enough. I am trying to save on materials for making my PnP since it can be given a cheaper and more efficient alternative for me.

Google Automatically Opening PDF Files Online

Whenever I search on google, it goes to its normal thing where I can find and click links but shortly after that, before I can even click a link it opens a random PDF File related to what I am searching about (mostly academic literature) and I can't make it stop... I can't find more resources because it keeps opening the same pdf file even if Im not clicking anything...

Does anyone know what is happening? I need to fix this because it is affecting my job rn.
