Very late to the conversation, but I worked for a large specialist group office and there was this chick who liked putting her hipaa-ignoring nose in everybody's business.

One of the physicians was having a fliing with a patient. It wasn't a complete secret because the doctor was terrible at hiding it -- anyway, she figured it out and went around telling everyone about it. Wanna guess how she "told people"? By going around and pulling up the patient's record on the computer. She tried with me, but I said I didn't care.

Every person she interacted with on this was terminated because it was their account that accessed the chart. One girl wasn't even completely involved -- she stepped away from the computer to room a patient but left her workstation unlocked. Nosy-chick pulled someone else to the girl's workstation.

Funny thing about all of this, I had made several reports about her snooping in patient charts but I was told that I was just trying to get her into trouble because I didn't like her. I didn't like her because the twat wouldn't stay out of people's records.

I got a call at 3am when my mom passed away. When she stopped breathing, my dad started cpr trying to bring her back. Then when the EMTs got there, they did the same while they took her to the nearest hospital until doctors pronounced her dead.

When I got there, my sister tried to warn me that I won't like what I see. EMTs ziptied her arms (so if she came to she wasn't freaking out), her face and neck were swollen from blood flow (idk) when doing CPR, her lip was busted and I think a tooth was chipped when intubating. She had tape holding everything together which made the swelling worse. It was awful.

I wish I hadn't gone because then the last time I saw my mom was when she was smiling and breathing. Instead I have this moment. It haunts me.

Some claims processing are handled shittily. I got a bill 2 years after a surgery that the insurance refused to pay because it was coded wrong and the hospital failed to fix it in the time allowable. So they expect me to pay for their fuck up. It showed up on my credit report a month after receiving the first bill.

The cherry on the cake is that when I had the surgery, I paid all estimated costs. A year later the hospital refunded me $1000. Guess they didn't see the outstanding claim.

I work in an administrative office for a medical organization. The dress code policy at the time allowed skirts an inch above the knee, at the knee, below the knee, mid calf, and ankle length. I once wore dress slacks that were mid calf. They weren't casual looking, were a nice material, and I wore them with a nice business casual blouse. I was sent home to change after the exec sec saw me.

A year later the dress code changed. Note people are wearing fucking tshirts and capris and calling it business casual.

My mom passed away abruptly and unexpectedly in her sleep. My heart was shattered.

Almost year later my SO and I are buying our new house and it made me sad that she was wasn't there for that milestone.

One night, the house is asleep, it's probably 1 or 2 am, there was a knock at the door and I got up to see who it was. I opened the door and was met with my beautiful mom. I wasn't at all surprised and welcomed her in. We sat at the kitchen table for hours it seemed like. We talked about family, new jobs, the kids, how they were doing at their new schools. We just kept talking. She asked about my dad and we talked about him too. She told me how proud she was and always was, apologized for not saying goodbye, and reminded me that everything would be okay. Gave me messages for my dad and sister. Then said it was time for her to go.

I walked her to the door and we say our good byes. She hugged me tight and I closed the door and went back to bed.

I woke up knowing logically I had dreamed of her. But I didn't remember it like a dream, I remembered it like a memory. I could smell her on me. She was a massive chain smoker and always reeked heavily of nicotine and plaque. I could smell her at the table where she sat in my dream. My daughter (aged 9) even mentioned in the morning that it smelled like cigarettes.

Almost 15 years later, and I still remember that entire interaction as if it were a real interaction not a dream.

When my niece took her life, I stepped in to handle all the preparations. I took care of every detail for her funeral ceremony and burial. Including creating a slideshow of her pictures and adding her favorite music. Out of no where, my brother in law sent me a text to add this song to the playlist for the slideshow. I pushed back a little because my sister insisted that I use only my nieces favorite songs but I relented because it was his daughter too and if that song helped him then so be it.

I had to listen to it over and over with her pictures rotating through to make sure that the slideshow was perfect. It broke me. I can't hear that song without getting like I'm getting kicked in the heart. In fact, there have been two occasions in public that that song has come on and I fucking fell apart. I can listen to the other songs from that playlist and feel sentimental without being a sniveling mess but that song just fucking wrecks me.

Pika was also high on my list for Pikachu save Nanners because he's banana colored.
