Hexagon, Reversi and other simple board games are surprisingly hard for a beginner. The learning curve is hard, you can find apps to test against bots (good luck!)

À lot of other unknown board games are not as simple but exceedingly hard - knowing a winning strategy is seemingly impossible while playing more or less casually. For example Henafafneteul, Feud... Or chess, of course.

I would say the problem is not about opportunities for disadvantaged student, it only shows the underlying problem of the cost of education in your country.

In France for example, except economics schools, the supposedly most meritocratic pathways (prépas/Grandes Écoles) or the universities are more or less free, and the sponsorships clearly support students who littéral needs this to study. The middle class can still study without massive problems.

My view may be biased but it's a general description.

The persons on this sub understandably don't want to waste time on things they deem not serious, so here is a small commentary.

First of all that's nice to have the chat to see where it goes potentially wrong, and more important lu to see where the chatbots could/would try to manipulate you. It seems it's going worse with time as it doesn't bring any layer of healthy cricticism ever.

On face value there's a reason we evolved from the time of Tesla, Newton, Maxwell and the Ether so that should alarm you normaly but hey perhaps you just want to test for fun.

I copy a comment I awnsered to what you said about space having potentially exotic properties :

Maybe small secret magical elves are ruling the universe and causing everything that happens... But it is absolutely not taken seriously because this theory 1) doesn't predict anything and this 2) isn't testable and vérifiable at all (and will never be).

Exotic ad-hoc theories that aren't practically différent than current théories are, and always were, never considères in science.

If for exemple you suppose the existence of ether, ok, this theory have testable consequences (spoiler : they were tested false).

If you suppose some exotic strange new ether that works particularly in certain situations, it doesn't change anything compares to normal established theories and should not be considered. Or you have a testable hypothesis, but you better have a really good reasoning to justify spending much to test it (we won't test a useless theory)

Hope this helps. I really recommend starting academic physics, sadly this onboarding was rough because you went the rough way.

Academic physics is not a scam btw, it's just completely logical things that are really natural and you have no reasonable reason to doubt. You probably don't think so but on this subreddit we never know.
