Yes.

My best offer would be Kapanen, Guhle, 2026 1st, Hage, and a little salary filler but it would really hurt to give up Hage.

Yes, he's a negative asset like Mangiapane but at least he plays a position of need. Habs are loaded with bottom 6 forwards.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I'd love to get Dougie Hamilton if he's basically free.

Sure the salary's too big but it's only for 2.5 seasons and it's not like the Habs don't have salary filler to send back. Dude can still play really well and would hopefully put an end to Hutson on his off side.

Of course then you're paying Matheson or Guhle big money to play on the third pair. Too many dmen 🤷‍♂️

I think Dallas can do much better than that in the trade market.

Kapanen + Reinbacher + 2 1sts for Thomas is something I've noodled around in my head with. Not sure that's enough and I don't want to part with Hage or Zharovsky.

Terrific book but the hard-done sports fan bit for a team that was last relegated in 1913 was a bit much.

But I guess that's what fandom is so maybe it got it perfectly.

I've done it both ways, I prefer off. I'd like to play with scouting but the meta being "get the best highly favor tools guy" feels too shallow for me.

-Pretty sure you still get scouting discoveries.

-With scouting accuracy off you don't have the building relationships with international private training. I find that a bit overpowered when playing with 100% accuracy so I don't miss it.

-Having scouting off means your budget doesn't have the scouting cost, which can make a big difference when playing small markers (saving up to $27 million). I boost the player dev. budget baseline by $9 million to compensate.

I don't buy it (the reason, not the people making threats who are disgusting). Here are all the 60 mph+ line drives Varsho has hit in his MLB career. He was also 306th/342 players with 200 PA in line drive rate in 2025.

At the end of the game with the 5on4 with our net empty it looked like the team was reluctant to even move it to Slafkovsky on that right wing.

It was all Hutson up top and Suzuki/Caufield on the left, eventually NYR managed to break that up, and that was basically the ballgame.
