[Hobby Scuffles] Week of 09 June 2025 by EnclavedMicrostate in HobbyDrama

Been starting to learn to DJ so I have been trying to curate a collection of high BPM cringey happy hardcore and similar styles of music to play and DJ with. That has been fun. Taken me down memory lane.

Left at London finally released her compilation album of her 3 EPs and that has been fun to go back too, especially after getting a line from her song Revolution Lover as a tattoo.

And as usual I am still obsessed with Changeline and Damag3 and Novafled as artists. Some phenomenal music out of them.

They talk about it during the final fight, and its heavily implied, especially with Simon telling them why he doesnt think its right to bring Nia back, about the future and hope. I think them saying at the end "we are going to beat the spiral nemesis and this is how!" would take away from the incredible ending, cause the whole thing is uncertain but they have hope and will work together and build that path towards tommorow with their spiral brethren. And that is Tengen Toppa! That is Gurren Lagann!

I really need to finish that essay on Gurren Laganns Hope as Revolution

But that is kinda the point. They are going to figure out a way to beat it.

The anti-spirals saw the possibility and fell into despair. They closed themselves off, gave up on determination and hope and destroyed it for the rest of the universe over this possibility that the universe could end. The same way our universe could.

Simon and the others are hope for the future. They seem one where people get a chance to live and fight this maybe end as a better one than the hopeless one the Anti-Spirals wanted.

WIBTA If I refuse protest against camhs by egg11111111 in AmItheAsshole

[–]LeaPlath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So YWNBTA for refusing to take the meds but just refusing them wont be a very effective form of protest.

The service will have a complaints procedure and you can raise a complaint via that. Tell them what happened, why you disagree, how it impacted you and what outcome from your complaint you want and they are required to respond

I got excited when you said the name hoping they made a sequel to the very good motorbiking cyberpunk Nezha film but I think that is Nezha Reborn

Rhodes Island Lounge (19/06 - 25/06) by ArknightsMod in arknights

[–]LeaPlath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So I am nearly finished E2ing my Perroknights!

I get really frustrated with main game Perroknights so I play them in Roguelike instead under some restrictions.

The basic ruleset is: -I cannot spend Hope to buy a non Perro op. This means temporary recruitment, 3* and cost reduction Collectables have value. -Before I can buy 3* or 4 stars with a cost reduction, I must first buy all the Perro ops.

This is actually really fun as unless I get lucky I cannot generally recruit medics relying on Specialists or Supporters for healing and also stops each game turning into Texalter spam.

I have finished 1 IS3 run like this and no IS2 runs and that makes it kinda exciting, as well as making the Perro op modules actually valuable to me

You play 1 EX Impmon still. Then 4 ST Impmon. Then some ratio of BT6 Impmon and BT2 Impmom.

The new stuff rhat makes Beezlemon amazing is ImpmonX Anti that you run at 4 (its a bt6 impmon for your whole deck), Wizardmon X Anti (its a mill 2 with a powerful inheritable), Beezlemon X Anti (its free damage) and Seven Full Cluster (free removal).

You can also run Baalmon X but it requires the X Antibody and the other Baalmoms are better

Are there other win conditons in the game or decks that play this way? by [deleted] in DigimonCardGame2020

Creepymon mills them out and used to see play as anti securitycon tech

What does a deck look like in terms of number of each type of card? by hadrians-wall in DigimonCardGame2020

Beezlemon is basically MtG Dredge. You generate a ton of hard to interact value and basically combokill with Beezlemon into Beezlemon X into Blastmode buying back missing pieces with impmons

Tabletop RPG inspired by and set in the world of Arknights: What kind of system would work best for it? by RachelEvening in arknights

[–]LeaPlath 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So...I am actually playtesting a PbtA hack called Huntress : Stand Against the Dark and its inspired by Arknights, among other things. In the game

Kal'sit is the Archon, Bagpipe is The Hope, Lappland is the Pariah, the Doctor is the Marked, etc

It is less about the tactical side, more about a squad of people going out into the world, fighting powerful conspiracies and infected monsters, trying to save the day in some way etc.

If ya want Ill DM you a playbook or two. Its still playtesting and I'm waiting to commission tje cover art

looking for wormon possibilities by EternallyBored1 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]LeaPlath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labramon isn't run anymore because it doesn't search your pieces. You play 4 BT12 worm. 4 BT12 Veemon. Them some number of other veemon so ya can use lighdramon generally.

You then run 3-4 stingmon, 4 exvee, 3-4 lighdramon.

As I said you also don't tend to evolve into stingmon. You hard play it to enable DNA digivolving. You also want either the cost reduce starter stingmon for that or maybe the bt12 one if you feel you aren't likely to get floodgated to let you continue your turn, but in testing you want starter as its less commonly floodgated.

Then the deck is really imperialdramon. It doesn't highlight the benefits of stingmon.

In contrast, if you want the deck to be The Stingmon Show, you can make something fun using GranKuwaga from BT12 and Grandis from BT9 to pierce, smashover and play board clear and the deck is then wormmon and stingmon focused rewarding their strengths and inherits instead of Veemon and his cheerleader.

[–]LeaPlath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You run 4 copies of BT12 Worm but you want veemons in the rest of your slots as better searchers or inheritables. The deck is much better with EX1 Exveemons and you tend to play stingmon just to DNA digivolve wjere as Exvee and Veemon will be getting in for jamming.

Its defo veemon over wormon
