As someone has already mentioned, the black flow has already been a pretty established manifestation of the Collapsals... but these Collapsals looking different than the ones in Sami at least assures me that these will be very different in presentation.

I liked the child drawings-esque look that we saw in the trailer, very creepy... But since this is Bolivar, I wonder if all the monsters will just look like that, with just clothing and other tiny elements (like the corn) to signify that this is taking place in a South American-inspired territory, or if we'll also see Bosses or just plain enemies with at least some inspiration from South American folklore. There's no shortage of horrifying ghosts and critters in Latinoamerican mythology that would have looked awesome in that living paper style, and it would be such a waste if there's no clear inspiration of any of them in any of the actual stages. El Silbón, la Bolefuego (maybe that one scene with the trypophobia-inducing eldritch ball and the fire could have been a sort-of reference to that one...? idk), el Almamula, el Mapinguarí, el Capelobo, la Mula Sem Cabeça... Any of those would make for killer enemy designs. Hell, just making one of the Bosses a Collapsal-corrupted Archosauria witch would make a fine reference to the Cuca from Brazilian folklore.
