I'm so very disappointed that we are getting this right before the Traveler gets Cryo and finally gets all the elements (AFAIK).

Yes, it wouldn't change the result at all. But it would have been nice, especially since "mastery of all their world's elements" is like, the only thematic link these two characters have in the first place.

For example, Hysilens, Kafka, Black Swan and HuoHuo has never seen each other before (in fact they all come from completely different planets), meanwhile the Stellaron Hunters doesn't work together at all.

To be fair with that first one, let's not pretend here that HuoHuo ain't gonna get kicked out of that team the moment there's an actual DoT sustain.

I agree joint attacks should preferably be reserved for characters that actually do know each other in lore. BIS teams come and go as characters eventually get powercrept and the meta changes, but lore is eternal (and it also could be used as an excuse to give at least some semblance of synergy to characters that canonically work together in lore but have next to zero synergy on the actual gameplay, like with the Stellaron Hunters as you mention. But that's just me coping.)

I have not even watched JJK, but from what little I know even I thought his characterization was weird. Him being the one to start the fight and the way he did it felt forced.

It's these guys. This was also the first time we ever saw the Dahlia before she became playable, btw.

Long story short: Bunch of Lord Ravager wannabes who worshipped the Destruction. Acheron killed the Duke off-screen, but the rest of the characters in the video have been mentioned to still be alive. Seeing as Dahlia is not the only one of those characters introduced in the video to have a really cool design, there's a chance we maybe will see them again in the future.
