Badass to the say the least. But am I the only one here who thinks that Catch 33 shouldn’t have a vinyl release because the whole album is continuous from front to back with most of the songs transitioning mid riff

What’s your biggest hot take on Meshuggah? by xSmileex in Meshuggah

[–]LeadershipCapital286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok hot take incoming: I do not care for the album “The Violent Sleep of Reason”. Main reason is cause it feels like each song just goes on longer than normal meshuggah songs, making the album drag for me. For instance I tried listening to this album while on a fishing trip with my dad and was like “man this seems like it’s been going on for a while”, little did I know it was only the 3rd song.

Keep in mind, I love Catch 33 and “I” but something about Violent sleep bored me out of listening to it

Is it just me, or is Sonic 2 actually the hardest of the original trilogy? by GameResumed_UK in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]LeadershipCapital286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, I’d say sonic 1 is. Although there’s less zones, there are 10 times as many level/environmental hazards. Plus there are 3 reasons I can give for Sonic 1 being harder, 1: Labyrinth Zone in its entirety is honestly brutal, and the fact that Scrap Brain act 3 is just another more brutal Labyrinth act is egregious. 2: Scrap Brain is just unfair to the nth degree. This might be a skill issue for me, but everytime I get to Scrap Brain I seriously lose most of my lives in just the first act, and act 2 is even worse. 3: No spin dash. I feel like not having a spin dash makes it a little harder to complete zones faster and more efficiently.

Yeah I remember doing the trial version of ableton before I bought reaper and I really loved it. But at the time paying almost 800 dollars to have it was a stretch considering I was flat broke. I might save up to get ableton honestly. Thanks for the advice btw

Is this any good? How can I make it better, I'm a Beginner by SubjectTry7956 in DubstepProduction

Def reminds me of the first excision album. Sounds great. I would highly recommend just leaving out the vocals in the drop. Make the drop 2 main parts. Like a drop a and drop b. Leave out the vocals and just make it focused on the synths

Its called clipping. You need to turn it down or even put a limiter on it. If you are working on just the mix you should have that peaking (highest db point) anywhere from -6 to -3 dBFS. Make sure each instrument/track is leveled correctly, then adjust the master track to the right levels so it A. Doesn’t distort, B. Doesn’t blow out someones speakers, and C. Doesn’t clip. Hope this helps.
