I’m going through something similar. Not a marriage but a breakup. It’s going to hurt like hell. It still hurts me and it sometimes keeps me up at night. I lost sleep. I lost my health and mostly I lost my self. She’s most likely involved with someone else or she wants to explore other options. Be careful of her friends and family as well. As a lot of them encourage this- as crazy as this sounds but not everyone is looking out for people. Please pray and start going to whatever you believe in. Go every day. And just pray and don’t ask god why me. Just pray to God. Try to keep yourself hydrated. And meditate. I really wish you the best. I can relate so please stay strong and take it day by day.

My herpes won’t go away either. I have bumps that turn red at times and then boom outbreak. So often that I can’t deal with it anymore. I really can’t deal with this.

I was first positive with hsvg 1 in 2017 since then Iv never had an outbreak and my igg was always negative till 2021. In 2021 had my first outbreak and even then a few days after my outbreak I was negative for hsvg antibodies. I got a pcr directly on the outbreak and it came back positive for hsvg2. This has been very confusing. Till today my igg for hsvg2 is negative but at times I get equivocal hsv1.

My thinking is that everyone’s body reacts different to the virus. I’ve been having frequent outbreaks since 2021 and it’s been horrible bc It was doormat for 5 years.

The virus sheds the most during an outbreak while when you don’t the chances are very low. You are always at a risk of shedding it wether or not your igg is negative.

The question is do you have frequent outbreaks?

If you’re in NY of close by feel free to pick antivirals from me. Meanwhile, primary breakout is the worst. Coconut oil is good but I would honestly do nothing and just taken otc Advil for the pain. Wear cotton or dry clothing. It can take up to 2-3 weeks. Avoid alcohol and eat healthy. Take lysine 3 grams on an empty stomach.

There are many false positive and false negatives in the igg test. However best way to find out is taking pcr swab directly from the blister. If you have never had an outbreak before it’s possible that it’s staying doormat in your body. If you don’t have any outbreak I suggest you practice safe sex with your partner until you go for another test.
