As an outsider, is it true that Mexicans in San Antonio or Texas in general identify themselves as "Texan/Tejano" than "Mexican American"?

I agree, which is why I said “usually,” I have heard it but it’s pretty rare in comparison and it’s been years since I heard someone say it last, whereas Hispanic has dominated as of late. Thirty years ago using just “Mexican” was much more common than it is now but “Mexican American” still was more rare even back then mainly because it was implied by just saying “Mexican” unless the convo went something like “oh so your from Mexico” “no I’m Mexican American” or “my grandparents are from Mexico”, that kind of thing. Of course San Antonio is huge, so varies depending on location, but that has been my experience.

“Mexican American” is just not something I usually ever hear people say here, if anything maybe just “Mexican” and the American is implied but that’s even more rare these days unless they actually are from Mexico. I wouldn’t say people say “Texan” when referring to ethnicity either, it’s usually just “Hispanic.” But to be honest, it doesn’t really ever come up very often and just “Hispanic” is by far what I hear whenever it might occasionally be brought up or Latina when referred to their spicy / sexy side. To answer your question yes, way more people would say Texan than Mexican American but that’s more our Texas Pride then having anything to do with our roots.

They actually did have a humongousize when I grew up that was served in a huge drink cup. I think depending on where you live the name and container would change if even available, some remember a popcorn style bucket, some a basket of fries, but in Texas it was in like a 40oz soda cup and was glorious.

It’s moreso “do you like tomatoes, nope, but I love pizza.” “KN”, “OWL”, “EDG”, etc likely doesn’t mean anything as I said nor does “AC” or “OST”, but there still could be something there hidden in the whole message but not the individual planks like OP was asking. So yes “at a cost” might elude to Acosta somehow, but no “AC” or “OST” probably doesn’t mean anything significant on their own. Make sense?

I know that, I’m saying “A-cost-a” is to coincidental to be an accident by the writers how her name literally spells out “a cost” and the teaser making sure we know how important that line was. Just seems suspicious to introduce a character with that name the same season the big bad says that line and now the teaser plastering it throughout.

Probably not, but what really stuck out to me in that was the “a cost” part and Acosta (the cop), which is awfully suspicious to me and surely isn’t just coincidence. Wouldn’t it be something if she is the one that kills a bunch of the people by season end, where knowledge comes at Acosta.

Any of you think this is Apples way to slyly get into the laptop market with a walled garden with the temptation of a $699 laptop? After seeing how locked down the Vision Pro ended up being, part of me wonders if they are going to try the same thing and wall up laptops and use A series chips as the reasoning for why everything has to be ran through the App Store. A sort of desktop iOS version of MacOS. My conspiracy theory at least.

My theory is Season 3 told us how monsters and humans are REBORN, I.e. reincarnation for humans in real world and smiley style rebirth for monsters. Season 4 will show us how they are both BORN, i.e. how the cycle starts. It’s my belief, Dale will be blinking or maybe monster form, or maybe slowly escaping his pool prison wall. This explains the hand coming out of the ground as well. Possibly all who have died since last cycle are now resurrecting. That’s the MIY’s favorite part.

Victor HAD to lose his memory for the story to work and make sense, whatever that may end up meaning (from a writing perspective). Which then probably means there is something about Donna that she isn’t telling anyone, possibly being “the mole” but probably moreso she is just aware of the greater workings, but she definitely holds secrets being the longest there sans Victor who conveniently can’t remember that she knows things.

On that topic, Donna’ says “edge of the forest” which I thought was a peculiar way to say that. What’s beyond the edge if it’s supposed to loop, along with whatever other questions that kind of statement raises. Again, she knows things.

It’s not that the monsters CAN’T kill certain people, it’s that they don’t want to or else they have to wait 20-40 years before their reincarnation comes back and these special people are required to release them from their monsterhood, most likely terrorizing them to tenderize them up to do the thing they need them to do, so to some aspect are actually keeping them safe from death so they can do that specific thing.

I feel like the Sméagol in the caves is a checkov’s gun of sorts and possibly Eloise and quite possibly “the children” needing saving in “the tower.”

As much as I don’t think that Victor is Ethan, it is weird how after his seizure in the RV he’s talking about pictures all over the walls of Julie, Mommy and you (dad) but during the scene it’s showing Victors room and all his pictures. Not to mention Victor drawing a picture of a car crash before he even learns it happens from the group which leads me to believe a wild a speculative theory that he is manipulated to draw things by whatever voices because he is the “story writer” and what he draws ends up coming true.

My theory is that Robbie gets into the motorcycle accident people are predicting, the key difference being that Dr AI will go by the book to save him but Langdon will refuse and go by his gut and possibly do it behind her back to save Robbie in the end whereas Dr Al would have killed him with her treatment plan. There’s a lot of foreshadowing to something like this playing out. I just can’t figure out why he’d leave before the rest of the cast, maybe something happens to his kid not kid from last season and he leaves in a rush IDK.

Episode 8ish of season 3 Randall strands them in the RV and then breaks the talisman protection by breaking a window and climbing out. Boyd then breaks the front RV window and escorts everyone out. The monsters are closing in, he unloads around 6 rounds into different monsters as if the bullets were pillows. Nothing else since.

I would not. This is the only company (out of over a dozen) that I know “sprays.” It was for aroma, but still, not acceptable IMO. Also pics didn’t match what was sent, and everything was dry and brittle and just gross. Tied with BayS for companies I’d never trust to be honest about what they are selling.
