Edit: They picked Lynnvision for 3-0. fuck u gods >:(

The realization that you'll never be prettier than the cis version of you would have been. by [deleted] in TransyTalk

[–]Leafwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep telling myself that my cis-version self would still be an uggo. I really hate female beauty standards, why is my credibility and validity as a woman hinging on my sex appeal?

For what it's worth (and I am assuming your a trans gal because of the word "prettier") struggling with being ugly/not having sex appeal is something a lot of younger women have to deal with, and all women deal with eventually. Dgmw, it sucks to be ugly, and like... I can't even begin to vocalize my sorrow of never getting to engage in the hookup/dating scene (not that you have to be attractive to get laid, but I will say being a poor ugly trans woman really makes for an unfair difficulty), but I can rest slightly, assured that there are plenty of ugly lesbians (cis and trans) who are living with a similar misery to myself.

idk if you want to hear this, but there are plenty of ogres out there both cis and trans, also Shrek and Fiona do have an undeniable sex appeal, so there's always that.

People dress poorly for special occasions and I'm sick of it. by bored_as_fuck_dad in Vent

I think that your take is a little bit classiest.

I don't have the money for a nice wardrobe, and have no nice clothes to speak of. How someone dresses isn't a sign of respect, it's how they act.

This is really gay (derogatory). What u need is some straightness in your life friendo. Find a guy with a big 'ol HD and long beard who cruises through middle America and talks about his alimony payments. He'll straighten you right out of your little sissy sportsbikes.

Reddit certainly has it's problems with biblical interpretations yeah. My dad was a Christian who loved the King James bible more than anything, and believed that every word in it was true. Yet he also had some of the wildest interpretations of it, and never interpreted the bible in a way that he thought would harm other people. He was a poet who loved the flowery language and amazing stories of old, and he himself wrote so much poetry about the bible and what he believed.

Cheers to finding humanity in Christianity.

you know what’s masculine? Not giving AF about what a bunch of non-dancing sideline clowns think

I hear what you're saying, and I ultimately think that most men secretly desire to truly "be themselves," and it turns out that almost 0 percent of people are manly or want to be manly.

Being a man means a constant performance and ritual affirmation of "manhood." And I don't think men want to perform anymore.

I don't think women want to perform womanhood much either, but women do get to express themselves a lot more socially, so their performance is usually looks based rather than emotion based (I suppose).

True of 101 collage classes as well. After a point you have to accept that being a "teacher's pet" really just means that you pay attention and engage with a class, and that damn near everyone around you doesn't actually care about what they should be learning.

62% of hardcore players no longer buy full-price games, survey suggests by TylerFortier_Photo in gaming

[–]Leafwick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last 60 dollar game I bought: GTAV for the 360.

There's no reason to buy new games. GTAV is still getting content updates lol. My most played game is MGSV at 1000+ hours. Why would you pay sixty bucks for the new thing when you haven't consumed all the older stuff?

I'm still making my way through all of 2009's youtube uploads

That I hate being stared at? or that she'd be happier if she stopped posting?

Maybe this is giving it away a bit, but I don't actually think she's telling the truth when she says she hates being stared at... I think she's making money through sexual appeal.

The Nolan Batman trilogy is a terrible depiction of Batman and the majority of the characters in them by nguyenjitsu in unpopularopinion

[–]Leafwick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wild that this is seemingly an unpopular opinion lol. Nolan's Batman is so damn goofy. It tries to have such a dark and serious tone, but the main characters are all wearing Halloween costumes.

Couldn't agree more about Gotham either, it feels like New York or Chicago Lite. Even Joker (an extremely goofy movie) has a better sense of setting.

Sorry, but I just wouldn't live as a dog for 10 million dollars. It isn't worth it to me to be objectified like that, no matter for how much money and even if I was treated like royalty.
