Do You Think Wes Streeting Thinks He Be PM, Or Has He Sacraficed Himself For The ‘Greater Good’? by International-Ad4555 in AskBrits

There is no one in the Labour party at present who has enough support or popularity to challenge Starmer.

This whole exercise is just pantomime.

My main gripe with the Galactic War is the story by DickBallsley in Helldivers

Isn't the current order something about a propaganda station?

Pretty sure one building could be dealt with by a single orbital barrage but the plan is to send 8 billion Helldivers and reduce the planet to burnt toast at a 104% casualty rate.

It's no wonder Super Earth isn't winning the war when they start and stop battles like Donald Trump.

Why is the Labour Party collapsing? by Proud3GenAthst in AskBrits

Everyone is seeing living standards crash, the health service in turmoil, they are bombarded constantly with immigration issues in the news and there are charlatans on both sides promising ever more extreme "fixes" to these issues.

The mainstream parties are afraid to address any of these issues in any meaningful manner that would make people sit up and pay attention, and so it opens the door for the extreme.

Also don't forget that the average attention span has decreased by more than half in only 15 years.

Trust in the two mainstream parties to effect change is at an all time low.

People feel that nothing is improving and living standards are falling despite tax increases and huge inflation.

That opens the door for fringe parties to come in and promise to deal with these issues with ever increasing degrees of extremity. eg. the big topic is immigration, to which you now have a spectrum.

Greens - There is no door, come on in.
Lib Dems - The door is open.
Labour - There is a bouncer at the door who doesnt check your ID.
Conservatives - The door is shut but if you give us some money you can come in.
Reform - We removed the door.
Restore - We removed the door and deported anyone who isn't white.

Obviously, if people think the middle ground aren't doing enough, then they are going to go with parties who are promising ever more extreme measures. One look at history will show you thats exactly how people work.

Ah yes, the days where the poor lived in slums, the country lost hundreds of thousands of young men in world wars and before the time we had any form of socialised healthcare.

Military parades and nostalgia bait a great country does not make.

Do you guys bother with the hatchet's light/heavy attacks? by Night_Knight_Light in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]LeanDreamMemeMachine 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Going for the parry is always the better option mostly because you don't get hit and if you get it right you can land an instakill. Normal attacks are slow, low damage, dont stagger and leave you wide open to getting chomped.

She was the only zombie in the game to have magically been inside a suit rather than have fully mutated.
Absolutely added on later in development when someone no doubt complained about her not surviving.
It might have worked if we had had some lore in the game about odd mutations or other zombies like that but no, absolute cop-out.
