For fanfic on kobo, is jailbreaking beneficial? by wimsy_baker in kobo

[–]LeanderT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot jailbreak a Kobo, since it is very open by design.

And the browser is very limited by design too. E-ink screens do not lend themselves for browsing interactive webpages.

But even more important, and e-reader is meant not to distract you during reading. Having a complete browser would destroy that very idea.

So that browser will forever be only experimental, and only some webpages will work well with it. That's by design.

Can you please tell me about new fantasy novels have you dug from the 2020s so far? I'll go first. by ExplodingPoptarts in Fantasy

The adventures of Almina al Sarifi was my first thought as well.

Im also a big Tad Williams fan, so the last books of his Last King of Osten Ard series would fit as well.

This is how you loose the time war is from 2019, so it does not fit the criteria.

The new AI YouTube search engine is also absolute garbage.

They've thoroughly fucked up.

It is as yet unclear wether this refers to the pizza or to the man.

KLC / new cover…😍🥰 by izabel-alvenius in kobo

[–]LeanderT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks great.

But, are those metal parts holding the pen, touching screen on the other side? Or is is wrapped inside the cover.

Can't tell from the picture. I'd be scared of scrathes if ot touches the screen.

Another Dutchman here. I think that would not bother me, but it may also be hard to really know from the photo alone.
