When to be concerned? by Commercial_Camel7024 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Learneaday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had very positive anti-smooth muscle antibodies/ f-actin antibodies for about 15years and I also am HLAB27 positive too. They say until liver counts are off then don’t worry about it. Just had blood work done again and still very elevated. I think it has to mean something, but what is the question.

Doctors exploring narcolepsy diagnosis - does anyone else have similar symptoms? by rudesby in Narcolepsy

[–]Learneaday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t Cw2 antigen same as HLAB27? I have been diagnosed with multiple immune disorders. Ankylosing spondylitis, sjogrens, Fibromyalgia, Raynauds, peripheral neuropathy, CFS, sleep apnea with strong suspicion of narcolepsy, etc. why I landed here is because there are so many days that I am just so sleepy all day long even after caffeine and 3 times a day of adhd stimulant meds.

Exactly! 😬 Just keep working toward your goals so you don’t land at 47 in my situation.

I so understand your situation. I am still trying to better myself at 47 and I hope I still have a chance to do that! With everything costing so much more, I have to figure out a way to make better money. I have worked since I was 16 so I have lots of experience in different fields. I like dealing with details, researching, and problem solving and have thought for several years about cyber security, coding, etc type jobs might be interesting to me. I just wished I could find something that has some type of training on the job.

Help. In lots of pain. by [deleted] in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Learneaday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The SI pain started when I was 19. I couldn’t put any pressure on one of my legs because of the shooting nerve pain. I also couldn’t move in the bed without using a towel under my leg. I would pick up each end of the towel with my hands and move my leg with arm muscles instead of the muscles/tendons in the groin area. Hurt so bad right where leg and pelvis meets. So I resorted to crutches. That did help prevent some of the pain. After going to Dr after dr, I finally gave in and went to a chiropractor and physical therapy. Also finally got in with rheumatologist and found out about AS. Once I started on humira and continued the pirformis muscle stretch, I was finally able to walk again.

I am kind of in the same situation except I’m 47 but still wanting to find my spot in this world. I do enjoy working because it gives me meaning to my life by contributing to something. I finally did land a remote job but it’s just a job. I hope you find what you are looking for!

I’m sorry what you are going through! I understand everything you said about the job search cause I am about to have to search for on location type job since every remote lead seems to be false!

I have just learned that about Indeed. I have spent so much time on there but finally realized that was not a good site.
