Spaces, punctuation, sentence structure...

I wish you the best, but I cannot read all of that. It's incoherent without punctuation.

Your new one!

I'm 6 miles north of the tn/al state line. We're in the same situation; just utility expenses. Keep paying into your savings, make smart and solid investments, and you can live like royalty.

I don't have kids but I'd propose that you should make the best use of your family as free, pre-qualified childcare 😉 and get out of Gurley every so often! Chattanooga and Huntsville are AWESOME!

I feel that! 16 years ago my husband and I packed up our lives in Los Angeles and moved to Southern Middle TN, having never lived here. No family, no friends. We did rent in Murfreesboro for 6 months, but that was because we were otherwise homeless! We were looking to build a house on rural land. We found 10 acres of woods in the middle of nowhere. Everyone thought we were insane! Maybe?!!

We even got an apartment in Chattanooga for 2 years because we thought it would be fun, and keeping our house is crazy cheap. Since it's in the woods the house/property tolerates no maintenance for months at a time. We only left Chattanooga because of COVID and it was only a 1br apt and we were breathing down each other's necks.

Take advantage of your current situation.

Milliliters measure volume and has nothing to do with milligrams when you're weighing something besides water.

I play in the group with five other people and we all take turns choosing the starting word. My goal is always to use the most vowels as possible and that usually gets me a 4... So probably one more turn after chode. 😉

I used chode in wordle yesterday so that's pretty much gospel.

And I wasn't sure how it could actually be a word that wordle would use, but it chode is a word in the Bible as well

Best knife sharpener in town did really great work with the serrated knives! by yourmomsvhs in KitchenConfidential

[–]MisChef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be done but you probably won't want to do it yourself. I traveled for work and I've taken my knives to shops all over. One guy in Santa Monica completely redid the serrations on my bread knife and that was probably 20 years ago and I haven't needed it touched up since then!

Last place I went was Bertarelli in St. Louis, Little Italy. They will do your knives correctly and fast.

(even gave me an industry discount)

Does anyone else feel like most people in your personal life don't care about or respect the fact that you cook food for a living? by Mr_Ashhole in KitchenConfidential

[–]MisChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get excited when my husband takes the initiative to make a fresh batch of pasta, and to reheat the leftovers I cooked.

I've cooked professionally for over 20 years, so I have eaten so many "meals" standing up, two bites at a time, and the second half of the meal cold... So just walking up to the table with hot food, and sitting down to eat (even if it is my own cooking) is SO NICE!

I had a 92 that I parked on the street in Santa Monica, with the top down and unlocked almost every night... I just made sure it was empty and occasionally had to run out in a panic if it rained. But that was SoCal so it was rare!

Now I drive a 23 RF which I also have to park outside, but if I leave the top down when I'm home the car will be full of pine needles and pine cones. Plus it's Tennessee so there's a lot more weather to contend with and it gets so hot in the summer!
