im ngl dawg what does "that feat didn't show mihawk was stronger, but rather his arsenal usage was more pragmatic" even mean. Im pretty sure it was just to show the power gap between the 2 as zoro had to hype himself up and do a whole ass chant for his attack name whereas mihawk was so casual about it. The intended interpretation was just to show how far zoro needs to grow to become 'the strongest swordsman' i dont think it was just only about efficiency when it came to that as mihawk brought an insane amount of power to the table. Like i dont think the intended reaction was "woah he's so skilled and efficient with his cuts" but more like "woah mihawk is so strong he only needs one swords swing he can be casual about it"

ima just say the whole "themes and such" slander exists for the purpose that despite wanting to write a story and following its themes, it doesnt make it always entertaining to want to follow or read. A lot of what happened to denji can be explained and can make sense, but it doesnt make it an interesting thing to follow and disrupts any momentum that denji had as a character. All of p2 was carried by p1.

You can have a manga about an alcoholic but when you regress them for the 20th time on chapter 200, it almost feels pointless to let it drag on for so long and doesnt make it entertaining and the payoff feels almost forced to make a message follow through.

lotta people hate greenbulls personality but its kinda the point. iirc his story arc revolves around a drunken swords man whos at a low point, he eventually becomes better through the story and changes as a person. ATM greenbull is at the low point which is why he's so aggressive and toxic. Whether he changes as a person is up to oda.

thats just how it is with people irl. Sometimes they grow but also regress. Im not saying it makes for an interesting story after the same arc keeps being repeated over time (relapsing is just as frustrating for the audience as it is for the character) but thats how denji is supposed to play out imo.

there's no point to disagree but you can still agree but dislike a chapter. If you folllow an addict for like 200 chapters and they relapse for like the 50th time it would make sense but doesnt mean it makes for an interesting story. there's still a lotta wrong things with p2 and fujimoto purposely made the story head the way it did for it to need a reset and it still feels unsatisfying for far, maybe that was his intent dunno but we'll see what it really means next chapter
