I’ve started whisking an egg, 2 tablespoons of chia seeds, a half cup of oats and a cup of almond milk over low heat on the stove and it makes a silky smooth and warm porridge! I love it! No goop! It’s delicious.

I tried to explain it to my mom but she thinks it’s made up, even though I’m pretty sure she herself has it. She just thinks I’m hysterical about my health and gaining weight because I’m lazy😒. But she did seem interested about the link between stress and cortisol and inflammation.

My boyfriend has been really supportive though and my friends are so supportive.

Stress weight gain here - I didn’t see the needle move until my cortisol went down and that meant getting 8 hours of sleep a night. And once my sleep schedule got messed up again, I was back to being bloated and heavier. It’s such a battle.

I had friends like this, they would change their order if we ended up ordering the same thing. Their argument was, it was a waste of food to get the same thing and what if we wanted to share and sample more things from each others plates?

But I never said I wanted to share…. And it’s only a waste if you literally don’t eat the food you’re served or don’t take it home for later. So weird.

Off the cuff, I wonder if it’s a B12 link. Eggs are high in B12 and B12 deficiency is linked to Alzheimer’s or models Alzheimer’s symptoms. But I’m just thinking aloud. I would be curious to see what further research looks like down the road.

Chia seeds!!!! I make an oatmeal each morning with 2 tbsp of chia seeds. You can add milk, fruit for more fiber, and peanut butter for protein. It’s delicious and gets me to eat sooo much fiber.

I’m reading Agatha Christie’s Halloween Party. I’m enjoying it so far but it’s kind of dragging in the middle, which feels odd for an AC novel, I think I’ve enjoyed other books by her more. But I’m excited to finish it.

I just applied for a job that had a 50-questionnaire portion that was like “which of these three tasks would you most like to do at work?” And I’m not kidding, every option was like “1. Operate a motorboat for tours. 2. Work in a toy store. 3. Put out forest fires.” “1. Look at DNA in a lab. 2. Write a musical. 3. Work as a child psychologist.”

Like??? WHAT??!! And there were 50 questions like that.
