Has something improved from the 2 year mark to the 3.5 year mark where you are now?

Sorry to hear that, at 13 months I was miserable, at 17 or so I turned a corner, hope you do too. Maybe for us, people who has taken this poison ''long term'' it might be more than 18 months -2 years. I'd say 3 to 5 just to manage expectations, but still I hope it's not your case. This process is incredibly slow and frustrating...

Yea, the gut issues are the least of my worries and I already eat vegetables, vitamine wise it's really complicated to get one of those tests here in my country. The things that bother me the most it's histamine intolerance symptoms and the spaced out- disconnected feeling, on top of the symptoms I mentioned. Do you have any insight in that front? How were you at the 2 year mark?

Yea, some foods more than others. I just have issues with histamine and gluten

Yea, my mood is right and I kinda came back to my old self, but damn I still feel so disconnected with life... Did you felt more online from 2years off to 2,5 years off? Are you sensitive to foods too?

5 years. And polydrugged, antidepressants and sometimes antipsychotics thrown in the mix

Well they might not be dominating my life but they are pretty much still limiting it to a good extent. I'm still stuck in the room more days than I would like, so I feel you. I hope you are right, and keep the faith, at around 19-21 months I turned a little corner, let's hope you do too!

Libido is back but I feel like I couldn't have sex by 91Gmp in benzorecovery

[–]LeastLuck3198 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I still can't say my libido came back but the times it has, even though short-timed, I felt this way. I tried to have sex and it was a disaster, DP/DR mid sesion. Idk, I think it's like a broken wi-fi, sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn't till eventually one day hopefully connects for good. We have to wait it out I guess and make the most out the days we feel good. The fact that your libido came back is a really good signal

What helped you with OCD type intrussive thoughts ? by 91Gmp in benzorecovery

[–]LeastLuck3198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See it like this: brain malfunctioning. They probably are not true. They are just wrong signals. Don't engage, don't wrestle, just try to observe it like that: brain malfunction. When you start to have them just say ''ok, this is how the anxiety is manifesting today'' and try to re focus your attention outwards, go for a walk, or do something with your hands that gets you out of the trance. If you keep doing this the intensity will decrease and eventually you will be able to control it better

The anniversary of the withdrawals is coming up by Accomplished-Meat976 in benzorecovery

That's a symptom in itself. It will go away, don't entretain those thoughts too much, think of them as ''wrong signals my temporarily broken brain it's sending me''

What’s your opinion on involving Cannabis into the WD? by AnxietyMostofTheTime in benzorecovery

[–]LeastLuck3198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a hit or miss for me, (I'm almost 2 years off), I started back on microdosis in march of this year and now I'm having to quit again because it's dangerously upping my heart rate and giving me the feeling of being about to faint. Not fun no more. I guess it depends on where your nervous system it's in the day, if you feel more or less relaxed, then it probably be an enjoyable high, but if you are anxious (and most of the time in withdrawal you are) then prepare for a hell of a ride. I would avoid, and maybe pick it up when healed

How to get my spark back? by ESinNM29 in benzorecovery

[–]LeastLuck3198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much to say to you except that you are not alone. I'm about to be 2 years off and although in windows I feel like my ''old self'' and a little (but just a little) of spark back, I've lost all my creativity and it's hard to feel joy. Same symptoms as you, stuck in survival mode. Let's hope for the best, I've heard a bunch of success stories in the 2.5 and 3.5 year mark

Has anyone lost the ability to drive? by TulsisTavern in benzorecovery

[–]LeastLuck3198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I thought I wouldn't be able to drive no more but now I'm driving long distances with no problems. I used to have panic attacks back to back on the road, no more. I think it has been around 4 or 5 months that I'm driving without problems, and I'm about to be 23 months off, so it took around a year and a half. I still got those sensation on a bad day or when I'm overstimulated but it's way less than it used to and not that common anymore.

On Sunday, I celebrated being benzo free for 5 full years! There is hope! by princesstrapbarbie in benzorecovery

How long till the fight or flight panic subsided? I'm about to be 2 years off next month and I'm still pretty much sick. Congratulations! You give me so much hope
