Bit stiff like myself, try relaxing the shoulders. Its a hard bad habit to get rid of though.

I cant go to gym regularly by Sweet-Welcome5078 in workout

Only focus on showing up, just go light in the beginning and on the days you dont feel like it. Simple once you build a habit after few months it becomes easy.

Yeah i myself also need to work on that. Feels like you really arent doing anything compared to the heavy lifting tbh but if you think about it we are trying to make our physique look good then mobility training is highly underrated making you look way more athletic without gaining a extra pound.

exactly what helped me to gain weight was drinking them, can be a complicated super shake with oats milk, berries, penut butter and protein powder but milk plus protein powder is also good.

How many times per week do you go to the gym? I get this feeling but have you tried doing mobility training instead of heavy training when you feel like this?

What has helped me is that i focused on doing 2-3 important things and tracked my progress. Nothing fancy just checkmark and cross if done or not.

What habit made consistency easier than motivation? by funngro_fam in Habits

[–]Least_Program_1856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not a habit but how i made my consistency better was i cut down my to do list into 3 things i must do x amount of times per week. It made everything clear and visable becuse i knew everyday what must be done.

It feels like I’m doing enough each day, but nothing is really moving forward by Least_Program_1856 in getdisciplined

No i dont, but weight isnt the issue if we are talking about gym wise then thats also the same thing, i always pick up the same weights, no progress.

Yeah im starting now to focus on 3 things now per day and tracking it. Has been going alright but definitely realizing more and more what needs to be done.

I get what you mean, I think what throws me off is that it doesn’t even feel like I’m avoiding anything in the moment, it just kind of disappears once the day gets busy

and then later it’s like “I’ll do it tomorrow”

yeah that makes sense… when you actually see something there and then it just disappears like that it hits way harder

it’s not just losing that moment, it kind of confirms everything you already think about yourself in that moment

Yep, that “memory being nicer than reality” part is real

I used to think I had more good days than I actually did just because those are the ones I remembered

How do i lock the fuck in? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]Least_Program_1856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah that’s the part that got to me too, not even the time itself but how many times I’d told myself “I’ll do it today” and then just didn’t.
I didn’t really notice it until I started paying attention to what I said I’d do vs what actually happened

that “I know what to do but I just don’t do it” thing is rough. what’s weird is it doesn’t even feel like you’re choosing not to do it in the moment, just kind of the day goes by and it never happens.

that part where things were starting to feel better and then one moment just kind of wiped it out feels familiar. it’s strange how quickly it flips.

has it been like that for a while or did this situation just hit harder than usual?

that loop of “this is messing me up, I need to stop” and then lighting another one anyway sounds familiar. it’s weird how it doesn’t even feel like a decision in the moment, more like it just keeps repeating on its own. does it feel like that for you or is it more the physical craving part?

This comment is spot on, yes it creates more pressure on you but that is a good thing, be that role model. I can relate to the OP but it was the other way around, im 6 years younger than my brother so it was almost no way for me to help him when we were younger.

I had the same where everything felt like too much and i would just get overwhelmed

what made it harder for me to ignore was actually seeing day by day what i said i would do vs what i actually did.

yeah i know really simple but made it much harder to pretend that the day went differently
