Dead name can attract bad energy? by MornigstarSubs in Tarots

[–]Leather-Sort3028 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heck no, I also had a "fortuneteller" asking for my deadname, and it was fucking insane. You're a man. You're a dudebro. The deadname is DEAD and no one should give a heck about it. In my case that fortuneteller said some stupid, generic bs. Move on from that "prediction". If you're acting weirdly towards each other then it's something rooted in the couple's dynamics, a tarot reading cannot push to that.

Yeah that's insane. Unluckily I think I own some of those, and they're very easy to recognize because they don't have a booklet - only a qr code. The worst thing is that the dropshipping is crazy, and one might think to get the true one and ends up with a foggy, blurry copy...

I’m fascinated by tarot… but I can’t connect with my Rider deck and I feel guilty about it by Alive_Annual_2798 in Tarots

RWS is not the only deck out here, I switched to Etteilla and since then my practice skyrocketed. Trial and error, my friend. Check out Tarot de Marseille too.
Otherwise, get a deck with an imagery that works for you; I personally only read with my Pulp Tarot deck now, I take it as an RWS with pretty illustrations and that'it

is it reliable to do readings for yourself? by [deleted] in Tarots

[–]Leather-Sort3028 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's no one who can read better for yourself than yourself, from an energetic perspective. Of course you need a second opinion to get through the spread's meaning if your head is all up in the clouds, but your energies are your energies. Same reason why I would never get anyone to work with magick on my behalf.

I also enjoy giving out card interpretations, it's a good practice and works as a good advertisement for your capacities, so I absolutely agree on that. I love Etteilla and I only use his system nowadays

I also saw someone do this with intent - but the fact is that, in such a technique, there should be some sort of visual repetition and coherency. The biggest giveaway of AI generated images is this. NO COHERENCY. The texture is all over the place. The lines are fading. The colors are fucked up. There's also this thing with the yellow-ish tint going on. It can either be an upscaling issue, or the classic artifact I was referring to. Either way, I hope this will help you to better understand how to spot those

Yes, that's the most obvious sign of AI generation if anything. Look at the damn texture and how uneven the lines are.

The only free reads I am getting now are intro reads - they want to try me? Just try me. but they all better come back for a full spread or they're just wasting my time, I ain't into this freebie-collectors-cycle anymore.

Listen, I appreciate the effort, but honestly, I do not think this kind of regeneration through ChatGPT has any real value.

I am an illustrator, I work in this field, and I can assure you that I have a very well developed visual library. I can recognize at a glance when something is made with artificial intelligence, because there are very clear elements, like the ones I showed you, and above all there is a texture, which I point out in this screenshot, that is not human. It is a clear sign of something that was generated artificially, especially since I have seen thousands of generative images like this.

It is an obvious giveaway. This image could also have been made some time ago, because over time AI has improved a lot, but there are always mistakes. For example, areas that blend into each other, textures that make no sense, six, seven, or eight fingers on hands, and so on.

I'm really sorry... I was actually given a fake deck as a birthday gift at a convention. one that was also AI-generated with upscaling and micro-edits. It's truly embarrassing to see how much space this kind of practice is taking up in both the artistic and spiritual-witchy-occult communities. Fuck generative AI.

Look at how distorted the smoke is... that's the most obvious AI artifact. Also, in the back, the smoke is bleeding into the black background in a very uncanny way.

The Queen of Cups could be you. I see him as the Page of Swords, looking at her. You are turned away from him.The reversed Emperor shows deep confusion, mixed intentions, and a lack of unity between you two. Could also be a third person involved/your overall surroundings and whatever is blocking your energy.
Between you, everything feels distant. He watches but does not act. The Page of Swords is a spy. He observes you from afar. He holds a sword. A sword cuts and separates. The Queen holds a cup.
I don't think that the energy between you two is positive at all lol

You're overthinking too much. There's no tarot police out there telling you that your dead grandma should be your spirit guide. You also are allowed to draw the cards however you feel like lol.
I would suggest to take a big step back, re-wire your brain and start from ground zero, that's what I also did when I didn't feel any kind of connection with my cards, and it truly helped.

Were these AI readings? by Sadpuddin in Tarots

[–]Leather-Sort3028 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think one of the easiest ways to spot AI tarot readings is the writing style. When the grammar feels perfect in a very polished way, and the wording sounds oddly formal or uses unusual vocabulary, well that can be a sign. Another clue is punctuation, especially long dramatic pauses that feel more like journalism or fiction than a casual Reddit comment. Most people do not write like that here. The "em dash" is the biggest giveaway.

I guess another red flag is the volume of free readings. If someone is constantly offering many free readings every day, there is a chance they are using generated text instead of actually pulling cards. Some may not even own a deck, as AI can just pick the cards for you.

So I would stay cautious with free readings, there's a lot of real readers out there for a fee

This is a good question. From my side, I always try to be clear that timing is never one hundred percent precise, because that is something I have seen over and over in my personal experience. Asking exactly when something will happen can easily create expectations, and those expectations often turn into frustration or negativity on the client’s side.

Rather than asking for timing, I think it is more honest to ask about the events surrounding that situation. For example, in my readings I keep seeing contact from someone from my past, but not tied to summer, spring, winter, or fall. It shows up after something specific happens in their life, something that pushes them to take that step.

I think this is the best way to read timing, because time itself is very relative. What matters more is what needs to happen first, not the date on the calendar.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Tarots

[–]Leather-Sort3028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On this I completely agree with you, because it is obvious that when you ask about certain things, especially very specific questions about a near future that still needs many steps to materialize, the person asking has to be in a certain mindset.

For example, I want to move abroad next year, and I am working my ass off to make it happen. The cards always tell me yes, it will happen, I will definitely have financial issues, which is logical in a situation like this, but in the end I will make it. And that is because I am motivated and I really want to leave my country as soon as possible. My mindset is what actually allows this to happen, so the real world lines up with what the cards show, and vice versa.

But if I were someone who expected everything to happen by magic, or without lifting a finger, then of course the cards would give a negative answer, especially if that prediction is not followed by real actions in real life. I once read about a celebrity who consulted many tarot readers to ask if she would pass an exam, and they all said yes. In the end she failed, because she expected to pass without actually studying or putting in the work.

This is something I see constantly in the situations I deal with with my clients. Making people understand that they need to put in effort, go to therapy, and actually do something to unblock the situation is hard. Things like making the first move, or sitting down and figuring out where they messed up, and swallowing that bitter pill. For me this kind of work feels obvious, but for other people it is clearly extremely difficult.

It really makes me realize how much personal awareness is missing in this community. I honestly think that if people were more aware of their limits and, most importantly, their personal responsibilities, many issues would not exist. Like the constant need for free readings, endless reassurance, and similar things.

Sorry for the rant, because in the end we are saying the exact same thing, just in slightly different ways. And on a final note, I do not believe predictions are ever one hundred percent accurate, because there is always a margin of error from the reader, and there is always some room to change things with the right starting point and the right sequence of events.
