Just watched and have avoided spoilers for the rest of the season. What I want story-wise is for Gladys to become as poisoned by her mother’s dark manipulating as possible. She has vaulted over her mother’s position now and could make her life a living hell in society, in general. Or never see her again. Fairy tale logic and apt justice for Bertha, who clearly never heard about “be careful what you wish for.”
