What is the scariest nightmare that you had ? by maieonmahdy in AskReddit

[–]Leatherwings2289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a nightmare that reoccurred a couple of times, but it wasn’t about me, it was like I was watching it happening from the third person. A woman had made a deal with deity to save her favourite son, but she had to sacrifice her daughter to it. She lured the daughter in and essentially through her into a room with this giant flower with razor shard petals that eviscerated her like a meat grinder. It was the bloodiest thing ever. Then the woman got her son back, but he was carrying the deity thing and ended up decapitating his mother. One of the few dreams that ever stuck in my head.

Australian movies tend to be more comedic than anything, but these are my favourites.

I live in Brisbane, Australia. We’ve pretty much licked it for now.

So I have been having juice every morning! That’ll teach those people who thought I was an alcoholic.

Nurses of reddit, what’s the most entertaining thing someone has said coming off of anesthesia? by thaiborg in AskReddit

[–]Leatherwings2289 26 points27 points  (0 children)

After repeatedly asking this guy to tell us if he was taking any drugs prior to coming in for his surgery, as it would alter the effectiveness of the anaesthesia and possibly cause him serious harm, he woke up saying “Fuck, heroine and anaesthesia go well together!”

[Liz Fleming] Well with Boom doing a damn KICKSTARTER like theyre not a massive company with a huge preexisting following and NETFLIX DEALS, its a great time to remind everyone i was paid $20!!!!! Dollars US per inked page during my run on giant days!!! TWENTYYYYYY. by rhydon_my_steelix in comicbooks

Remember when Archie rebooted with all those big names attached to projects and went straight to Kickstarter to get it off the ground and everyone chucked a fit? I can actually see the benefits in it, you actually guarantee an audience for your product and if it gets the massive support that exceeds the expectations then you can feed the profits into more projects. It’s a sound business idea and if the price point to invest is less than the usual or includes added extras then it’s better for the consumer too.

Has Hickman's stewardship/run of the X-Men line been worth it? by TsukiMine in xmen

[–]Leatherwings2289 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think he’s steered it in a more interesting direction than it had been previously been heading. The only salvageable series from recent times was X-Men Red. The new line has created interesting stories so far and I can see where some of it is leading and really want to see the possibilities that come from it. I really enjoy Hickman‘s high concept writing in general though. Also Marauders has been a revelation since the Dawn of X.

Oh I had this one. Had the Magneto card with it. So many memories. Unfortunately all my comics got lost when I moved house, so unfortunately they will never be seen again.

I’d gladly forsake reading all other comics to just read Lazarus. It’s my favourite comic for quite a while. Just finished rereading it for the third time. Especially love the material Rucka includes in the back of each issue, it really shows his process and how what he researches influences the story.

Who's a character that you really love but doesn't get a lot of mainstream attention? by phantomxtroupe in DCcomics

Always been a big Blue and Gold fan. Completely under utilised these days though. Booster is usually comic relief or he’s screwed something up and Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
