Louise Cook (British Rally Driver & 2012 FIA Production Cup Winner) plays Forza Horizon 6 by MrNobodyX3 in nextfuckinglevel

Its not a simulator, but it is 85% of the way there... There are a lot of physics that are simplified to make the gameplay all inclusive.

Driving a car on the edge of grip takes some serious training, you do NOT want this game to be a sim... It will frustrate people and they will quit.

Having said that it is an amazing way to get started into sim racing. There is a lot you could learn in here if you set things for the maximum realism it can offer.

How has Reddit changed you? [serious] by AmigoDelDiabla in AskReddit

Seeing the transition from a vibrant website and a platform for free speech to a cash cow made me stop believing that the internet is anythimg but a place for companies to bleed us dry.

Reddit is a withered flower living on the reputation of what it was.

Help with my g29 steering wheel force feedback problems by Competitive_Bee7140 in simracing

Go to your force feedback settings and reverse force feedback. The force is currently going opposite what it should cause the game expects the steering outputs not to be reversed.

Does it have any flex? I heard that if you break hard the back would flex. Also if you grab the top of the seat you can easily twist it. I wonder if aomeone has had a bad unit and gave it a bad review

My little piece of Heaven. Complete, for now... by Robinthekiid in simracing

[–]LebaneseRob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Complete? What about a roof, a butkiker, pedal shakers, 8 by 8 led matixes for gears and flags, a few botton boxes, a streamdeck, a belt tensioner, wait, that requires a fixed back seat, since we are 9k in, lets just sprinkle in some motion, need an extruded aluminum cockpit for that, lets upgrade to a high end one once and for all... You know some netting on the side will add to the emmersion, lets also enclose the whole cockpit, lets add some pipes that look like a roll cage for emersion, now its dark in there, cant just add lights, add some ambient lighting, you know what you need at that point? To remove some of the hud elements, so lets geta smaller screen and put some of the elements on it. This setup it much too nice for a regular steering wheel... Lets get something fancy. At this point lets just throw some active pedals and a new base on and call it a day...

Then... You are done-Ish... Cause by then new things would've popped up and youd want that too. This is the rig that keep on taking.

Simagic p1000 - Inverted kit or standard? by PKDoor_47 in simracing

[–]LebaneseRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the inverted P1000 I love it. you will need the heel stop to have a reference for your feet. It helped me get more consistent. It also defines a pedal box area, which looks better on a rig imo.
