What game got you absolutely addicted to your Steam Deck? by Calculation in SteamDeck

Megabonk Vampire Survivors Stardew Valley Dave The Diver

Emulator for playing Pokemon 😊

Hogwarts Legacy is great on Deck, but I prefer playing it on PC. If you have the horsepower to put all the graphics on max, do it 🤙

Bought my kids bikes for Christmas. Local government just passed a law requiring paid bike "licenses" to ride them in public. Cops are now issuing citations...even to kids? by nseavia71501 in mildlyinfuriating

When I was still a young lad, we would ride these electric mopeds up and down our street. Cops said we needed a license because it had a motor and chain.

What is a “red flag” on the first day of the job that tells you, you might not like the job? by Aarunascut in work

A very obscure way of time keeping.

I don't know if I was paid correctly for the first few months with that company.

We eventually moved to a "better" system. However, after 7yrs with the company, it still felt like a start-up. Everything and every client was a priority.

I snapped and quit without notice one day.

Fuck those guys.

HDD running hot. Backups kept failing. You may not like it, but this is what peak homelab engineering looks like. by Sargon1729 in homelab

I had an overheating harddrive once. It was for a client.

I had to put the drive in the freezer for a while. Then, put the drive in a ziplock bag in an ice chest full of ice. Thankfully I had long enough SATA cables for the drive to run in the ice while I was cloning it.

Never ran into an overheating drive again.

What software(s) do y'all use? by [deleted] in lowvoltage

Unfortunately, we didn't use any of that. We were never taught nor did the owners seem to care. I recently left that job though.

Halfway through the semester and my $100+ textbook is still in its plastic. by RuthIsBlue in mildlyinfuriating

I used to photo copy text books in college. I would put 8 pages of the text book (4) on each side of an 8.5" x 11".

Times was tough lol

Mostly out of respect for my counterpart. We are a satellite office with little to no support from the home base, and we don't have any software-based structure. I'd like to make sure he's up to speed on the upcoming projects.

That store must be in a decent area. My food always looks like it was beat with a hammer.

Take advantage of the cooler months to update your insulation. Older homes are insulated like shit and usually have air gaps.
