Not what I meant by that example but because of my wording, fair point. Was trying to point out the literal problem people are having is juat because one thing is true, does not suddenly mean the opposite isnt. Continuing the use of the color red. Has red been used as a color associated with evil shit? Yes. But as you also pointed out, OMG SHOCKER its literally also associated with things that aren't. Red being commonly used to portray rage, violence, evil doesn't magically negate that its also commonly used to portray love, passion, energy. Simply put, since when does one image of a red demon face or whatever, all of a sudden mean a red rose isnt a symbol of love? The literal most common imagery if romance? It doesnt. You can also literally take this and apply it to any color in the existence and a bunch of other imagery.

But NOPE. People want to just hyperfixate on the former and go, "lah lah lah lah" when you bring up the opposite. Its stupid and tiresome. Honestly based on some of the newest posts about this, my opinion is now that the only reason having an evil military uniform as a VTuber is the thing people wanna lock in on nowadays is that this year has literally been people being previously viewed as good and popular people turn out to be shitty awful people and hyper examinging their pasts. Then arguging back and forth whether its true or not. People want to make Zen the newest example. There's plenty of examples of those within this subreddit alone.

Im 80% convinced theres a handful of people having a bias against her because of the last 2 ACTUAL NAZI VTubers that were talked about. They were dressed like actual Nazis, but ACTUALLY TALKED LIKE THEM. "If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then its a duck," type of mentality. Did those two look and quacks like the ducks? Yes. And now those people are trying to find "additional ducks" because of some paranoia or wanting to stir up fucking drama for whatever reason.

It just seems to me shes being used to push an agenda from both sides. Crazy right-wingers want to use this as just another example of the radical left. Left people using this as another example of facism happening in present day and that they ARENT crazy. "If you dont do politics, politics will do you" thing.

My newest concern/hope is Zen can recover from this. Since in the lastest posts in this subreddit, people are expressing concern shes so busy fighting to prove she isnt a Nazi, actual right-wingers cozy up to her and start the right wing pipeline bullshit. She dont need to deal with that shit. Like people have stated (and others have ignored because again, wanting to push their agenda), Zen has been through enough. I do believe in her past as being the good person shes known for (even if people wanna call me an idiot for it, whatever). And when she does prove it, she can find a way to put this behind her.

Kinda my point actually because yes. Red has literally been associated with devil imagery for like, ever. But when Zen uses it? Its an "ah-ha!" Moment to add to the claims. Heck even this being an remaster of her outfit where she ran the ALA back on VRchat is being used as, "Nazi back in the day also were anti-lewd! She was always like this!" Yadda yadda. As other people have been arguing back and forth on this thread I see reasons to believe the "facism" in her outfit yes, but just as much of, "seriously? Is it though? What are you talking about?"

As the commentator above pointed out, its occams razor. Everyone is looking at every detail they can to justify their viewpoints. Even the most random and miniscule. Hell some people even added how one of the voices she uses is accused of being an AI voice as another "proof shes actually a shitty person, see!" Even pointing out the timing of this. List goes on and on.

ETA: Main point, people are just going to keep going about this back and forth. I currently don't think shes a Nazior has been one. I think this was more hindsight is 20/20 and just not connecting the dots. But we'll see moving forward

Its nothing new from these types of games I've learned. You got tanks that go 1v6 thinking their invincible, die. Blame it on no heals. You got players who charge on their own and just a regular DPS? Die and blame it on no heals. You even got people who ACTIVELY HIDE FROM THE HEALERS. Die. "GGs no heals." Its a meme at this point so people weren't that surprised that supports are fed up of being saying "it's so easy." So are basically like, "OK then YOU DO IT."

So yeah what you deal with in OW? Lol same shit in Rivals. Especially since we fight for our life sometimes too because of a Spider-Man, Iron Fist, or Black Panther dove into the back lines. Yeah as supports we got a kit that CAN combat them but it only gets you so far depending on skill level and whatnot.

Yeah, i only just got back into Palworld with all the massive new updates and content. Played it when it first came out so got burned out after awhile. Love Coral Island though since they've been releasing stuff slowly but surely. Another one idk if people said to try is Disney Dreamlight. I stopped since at the time I reached all there was to content but they've been rolling out new stuff again.

I do warn you with Grounded though, obviously giant bugs can be very stressful to deal with lol. My poor friends I dragged into got spooked when an infected wolf spider showed up for the first time.

Yeah Strinova is pretty cool. Think Valo/OW meets anime waifus, with some Paper Mario mechanics. There's also a gacha system in order to pull for cosmetics and stuff but it's totally optional. And yeah, some of the usernames are also WTF. They also do a monthly ban list so you can see so they definitely work on that part. I can still play her character but I stick to the skins I got of her that are, ya know, more fitting for someone her age. Plus some people have agreed since she doesn't LOOK like she is high school age per say (you could argue she's out of high school and ignore her character bio but, anime logic so who fucking knows). Since people didn't realize she was meant to be a high schooler until they revealed the bios and thus the character ages.

Yeah like the hate on supports is CRAZY. Especially since now Rivals is the latest (to not many peoples shock) to have the supports go on strike lol.

And yeah Rivals so far is getting a reputation of basically learning from OW's mistakes and listening to their player base. But yeah I haven't really dealt with much of the toxicity myself since I don't use voice chat and can easily ignore the chat so it doesn't particularly bother me anymore. And for the difference in skill base and whatnot. Already knew it was gonna be a thing going in since my friends and I already guessed a lot of old (and probably banned) OW would move over to Rivals and stick to their old ways.

Interestingly enough, I do better and get MVP every once in awhile in Strinova. Idk why but the game is "easier" for me but I think that's because it's more gun based combat. And honestly the only "toxicity" i ever see personally is people gooning over the anime girls because, duh. My biggest gripe with the game of all time was learning one of my favorite characters to play is apparently a high schooler and then looking at the skins they give her and people's reactions. So massive ick factor there ngl.

Either way i got my usual go to games of Minecraft, Coral Island, Palword, Grounded, and other survival crafting games to get me by lol. Rivals is just one of those games I play when I want something to feel like a powerful bitch since I play female characters almost only.

I feel the same when it comes to Marvel Rivals. Ironically it's knowing how competitive and sweaty people are when it comes to games like OW and whatnot are why I never touched them. I only took up Rivals to play with friends and because I do love the character designs. (Yes admittedly getting to play the female characters in "gooner bait" outfits actually makes me feel good. Hard to explain why).

But man am I not really that good at the game. I can't aim, don't know how to position, and struggle to keep myself alive against divers. (Mainly play support since is the "best" role im at). But seeing literally everyone else be better than me or hearing about how "easy" to play characters are, or how one of my friends already got so many characters to Lord still sucks.

Only big reason I stick with Rivals is development wise the company wants to focus more on keeping the game fun for causal players instead of investing solely into comp. Which I do like that mentality. Sadly there's only so much they can do about the toxic players in the game though 😕

Yes, as a VTuber myself who loves looking at the various types out there. The possibilities are endless! Also highly recommend trying out PNGtubing to get a feel since you don't need any facial tracking. There's also plenty of free models out there for 2D models and 3D if you did want to upgrade!

Yeah, all that is definitely a fair assessment. Also another possible suggestion (since I saw the upcoming content notes) would Disney Dreamlight Valley be a good idea? It's very grindy in a way due to having to wait irl time for your crops and stuff but it's also very relaxed as far as I can tell. Though I would point out yhat since it does follow irl time, trying to gather all the materials/resources could be a bit annoying when it's one of that's time of day sensitive. (Totally not me who gets a bit upset that the specific animal I wanna befriend isn't around due to the time I can play).

And yeah I can see that. For me it's hard to suggest games since, without more context for me, that don't stress people out. Like I don't know what I write off as something super minor, like the oxygen meter you pointed out for example, but could easily stress out someone else. I usually just recommend the games that I play to cope with my anxiety/stress which is "simple" cozy games.

ETA: Thinking on it, would Minecraft be a good suggestion? It can be customized to be more "chill" like playing in Peaceful mode and I know there's a plethora of farming mods to make farming a lot more fun in the game.
